Comments That Make Your Day

I'll take her runoff anytime.

The initiative to provide an unexpected review to bloated narcissists is welcome, but it would have carried more weight if the reviewer were a writer themself.
I know, its not like that guy has a small handful of agenda filled stories all in the same category to prove his literary prowess.

Just sayin'

What this reader really meant to say was, that he was thoroughly entertained by my thrilling and scintillating story. He is just too shy to admit it.
How could that not make my day? :giggle::rose:

I tried to translate this one, but....I think its straightforward

Never Again
Where does he get this pathetic shit? I got sick of picking the corn out his verbal diarrhea on the second page and had to stop reading. Awful. Just awful.

I'll be honest with you. I don't think NTH's problem with you is that you gave him a 3 star review. I've talked to him A LOT, and I know that reviews and scores don't carry a huge weight with him... even harsh reviews. He can normally take his licks pretty well.

I'm almost positive that he honestly believes that you've been doing these reviews with the goal (subconscious or not) of stirring up drama within the AH.

His assumptions are that you're attempting to troll (a claim I'm unconvinced of) and that you're someone's alt (a claim that I'm also leaning towards believing, although that in itself is no crime)

A few of your reviews have apparently referenced goings on within the forum, which suggests that your account is an alt, although I definitely won't be someone to condemn you for that.

That's said, some of your critiques have come across as a bit snarky... And that can obviously rub people the wrong way. But of course some responses to your criticism has also been snarky, so whatcha gonna do?

Since we are unable to read anything you've written, (apart from reviews) we lack the ability to judge your qualifications as a reviewer. (Of course technically, reviewer only REALLY need the ability to read and write, but the same can be said of authors). But being able to reference your authorial prowess would be helpful in gauging how valuable we find your opinions.

All that said, if you do come forward now with your own stories, they will almost certainly face unfair (even if unintentionally unfair) retaliation.

Ultimately, I have no problem with you or your reviews... Hell, you praised the shit out of E.Pact, so I fuckin love you, so far. 🤣 I disagree with you on some of your ratings, but who cares? Opinions, are indeed like assholes.

Now!

@NoTalentHack, @Stacnash,

You two fuck kiss and make up, and we can all be friends.

😁
I don't know about the person you're going back and forth with, but last year I went fishing in LW with a story with the purpose of proving there are trolls there who ghost here and wait for people to post a story in their swamp. The first comment

Lovecraft68 is, perhaps, the nastiest troll on Literotica. Go over to the Author's hangout and see his opinion of Loving Wives readers and writers. He is constantly railing against LW writers and readers, calling everyone here "incels," trying to get the site to run everyone off and prevent them from reading commenting or writing. The nastiest rat in the shit house, that's Lovecraft68. I suggest that readers give him all the respect he gives others: one star and a fuck you, bitch.

Yeah, that's me, the nastiest rat in the shithouse which is not speaking highly of the entire forum.

But it shows they are here. At least the person you're engaging created a handle so people have a way to reply. I don't know if they're an alt, but I'm beginning to wonder about anyone created from March of 2022 until about October seeing one person created several alts during that time, but this doesn't sound like them.

I was hoping for some snarky comments, but it seems you resorted to bombing instead. @Stacnash After being very stable for several months, my whole "The Young Mage" series has plunged in a matter of minutes, even though it takes more than an hour for each chapter to be read. You took the whole series out of Hall of Fame with a couple of 1-bombs (or several 2-bombs?) for each chapter.

Doesn't matter though, I am not hung up on ratings and I have mentioned a hundred times what I think about them. Yet the pettiness is truly sad. Have fun with other two series ;)

Are you as good as @Jackie.O.Hikaru, @Bramblethorn, @Voboy or @seraph_nocturne? No. You're not on the same planet as them, but they're exceptional. There's no shame in being good when others are great.

I'm a tart for compliments, and I greatly appreciated the comment you left on MI. But if it's okay with you, I'd prefer not to be invoked in this particular way. I'm sure it was intended as a compliment to the folk you've named here, but from my perspective it puts me in opposition to somebody who I don't have a beef with. And I expect some readers here are already assuming you're an alt of one of us four, which isn't a great feeling for me.

(Should that be "with whom I don't have a beef"? It's too early in the morning for these questions.)

As a side note, your comment on mine noted "hardly any grammatical and formatting errors". I'm glad of that, but if you're dinging others for formatting errors, please be aware that these aren't always the author's fault. The publishing process on this site is a little bit glitchy and conversions from document formats to HTML sometimes break formatting. I've seen this happen on stories that I've edited for others and occasionally on my own - the version I saw just before the author submitted it was fine, and then the version that appears on the site ends up with missing line breaks or spaces or whatever.

I've had that happen several times. Paragraph breaks where i didn't put any, dialog split up with an unintended break, etc.

I kept wondering how I missed such an obvious mistake during editing but eventually realized that yeah, sometimes things just get glitchy in the publishing process.

See, in order to prevent myself from ever getting removed from the Hall of Fame, I beat my critics to the punch by simply not writing stories that well in the first place.

It's a useful skill, I think; one which I have truly mastered. :ROFLMAO:

I've noticed that I often get spaces removed before italicized words. Very frustrating, but what are you gonna do?

I'm aware that trolling has basically been going on since the forums started.

That said, I'm personally disappointed. I got a positive review, but then the person who gave it got into snarky arguments with another author whom I respect, and now is being accused of bombing stories. Earlier I joked about kissing and making up, but it seems like fighting what we're gonna get. Whatever.

That said, anyone who down votes stories because of anything other than story quality is an asshole and needs to go get fucked. Not in the fun way.

Awesome. You can join me in the Dark Musty Storage Closet Down At The End Of The Hall Of Fame.

We can spend our time rifling through dusty old copies of Time Magazine and wallowing in self pity.

"You think the self-pity is your ally? You merely adopted the self-pity. I was born in it. Molded by it. By the time I learned self esteem I was already a woman, and by then it was nothing to me but underwhelming."

@Stacnash is maybe the best thing that could have happened to this forum since my arrival. This platform, which had deteriorated into a support group for high school-rejected kids, pimping each other's stories, is now being revitalized by fresh blood from someone who dedicates a lot of their time to providing what they truly need: attention.
Of course your prolific and seemingly constant attempts to point out other's need for attention certainly belies your own desire for exactly the same thing. Negative attention is still attention after all. 🥰

someone called Onehitwanda all used my reviews to do the same as Bobby.
Nah, it honestly just amused me. I'm a big girl, I don't need others to fight my skirmishes for me.

You're welcome to your opinion, i'm similarly welcome to be amused by it. I've received worse criticism from better critics.

Thanks for the diversion 👌

The bombing continues even today, all of it on the same series - the highest-rated one by far. Can I come up with the term "carpet one-bombing"? 😁 😁 😁
