OOC: I was hoping you would. I wanted to give you a chance to have a duel, but at the same time I wanted to tie that thread up quickly!
Romulus watched as Jason and Troia spoke quietly. He still had reservations about bringing the girl along; this business was growing dirtier by the hour. If she was as useful as she claimed, however, her assistance could prove valuable.
Aiden was shaken. Romulus sighed, regretting the young knight's presence at the scene. No doubt, he had thought the knighthood would be a life of fame and glory. Romulus had thought the same, years ago. Now he knew better; there was no glory in a battle such as this. There was only duty.
With the present danger past, he surveyed the campsite. Kalindor was nowhere to be seen, and the Lady Elizabeth was gone as well. His eyes narrowed.
Very well, mercenary. Pursue your schemes. No doubt, the Lady Elizabeth had been seduced by his roguish smirk. Romulus had seen many women taken in similar fashion. He had also seen their hearts broken, their spirits crushed.
He could not bear the idea of Elizabeth suffering such a fate.
