It’s ridiculous to ignore individuals with a gun fetish who have a dark, twisted, romanticized view of guns and the types of people who have used them in real life and in “reel life”: Rambo, Scarface, Dirty Harry, Wyatt Earp, etc,

The gun manufacturers conduct studies to identify what types of guns appeal to those individuals, and then build ridiculously overpowered guns with ridiculous capacities and capabilities in response.

It isn’t really a chicken or the egg scenario. It’s actually a perpetual feedback loop of guns and (typically) testosterone fueled young males and aging Low-T males.

I am not pro irresponsible gun manufacturers who prey on the immaturity and weaknesses of some irresponsible males in American society who base their entire identity on their guns and gun culture.

I am also not pro irresponsible politicians and voters who enable those irresponsible gun manufacturers and those irresponsible males.

My version of self-conservation makes a tangible difference.

I think "muh both sides" can agree that if we do not avoid ecocide, we have sacrificed all of our future interests.
