Continuity problem

Story 1 (published) says that A is meeting B, who is visiting Amsterdam.
Story 2 (WIP) requires that B meet A after moving to Amsterdam.

B was visiting Amsterdam, but liked it so much they never left? So in retrospect they moved in Story 1, but at the time, they didn't know it?

Thanks to all for your suggestions. I now have a solution which I am happy with. It is basically a combination of 'in the process of moving/accommodation not ready' themes suggested by several of you.
