Some people would say it's better to keep them grounded, though.I'll save @onehitwanda the trouble and take care of this one: I bet the plots were electrifying!
What would be the point? What are you going to do with such a story?
You want to write erotica, but you don't want those who know you to know. That's fine. I suspect most writers here haven't told their partners or friends.
You wanted to write erotica, so write it, don't agonize over it.
I'm shocked, I tell you. Shocked! Some people would say it's better to keep them grounded, though.
I've thought a few times letting a couple family members read a story or two of mine that don't make me look like a total pervert. But once they do, they can easily find the rest. All they have to do is a search for some of the text or the title if you leave that. Then they get your username and it is all open.
I heard how my sister 'writes'. She bragged about some anthology bullshit. I wanted her to see my body of work. I may still do it. Especially if she starts her bragging again.
I gotta say, this surge of high-voltage puns is pushing all my buttons.I'm shocked, I tell you. Shocked!

Why? Because half of the orgasmic euphemisms in my own writing draw their currents from electric metaphors. They are all so charged!
For me, aside from my husband, who loves all my stories and got me to start writing on literotica in the 1st place. nobody I know in real life has any idea I write erotica at all and I keep it that way. In my writing classes, I was a wannabe sci-fi writer LOL.

I don't have many friends, but yeah I've openly discussed everything I write with them, and my SO is my editor and beta reader so of course he knows what I write.Am I the only one who's told friends about this hobby? Off the top of my head, probably nine friends, and of course my wife. A few have read my stories, although I don't encourage them to. I feel awkward reading the sex scenes of people I consider my Lit friends, so I can only imagine how it would be for people who've known me for 20 or 30 years.
I'm pretty open about it. My mother's even read one of themAm I the only one who's told friends about this hobby? Off the top of my head, probably nine friends, and of course my wife. Perhaps we should brainstorm some safe-for-work descriptions of our writing interests that are directly based on Literotica categories.I have told several other people I am playing with writing romances and sci-fi, which is mostly true, but lying by omission.
Don't tell her at all unless you are 100% positive she would be comfortable with what you are writing. Ditto with your co-worker.
Okay class. Write a story using this as the first line.it started in a writing class
"It started in a writing class. The teacher told us to write a story that begins with 'It started in a writing class'. I put my pen to the paper and wrote ..."Okay class. Write a story using this as the first line.

My SO does some beta reading, but gets weirded out sometimes by how the two of us appear in my writing.
A lot of my stories weird my SO out, but he has refused all offers of finding a different beta reader.Yeah, my SO and I don't share the same kinks. I have some. She has none. I think I would weird her out.
Just saying, that sounds like investing a lot of time.I don't want to invest a lot of time in it, so I thought, 'Hey...what if I remove the incest, the third person and the sex and simply turn it into a love story'?
Yes, I'm getting that impression.Just saying, that sounds like investing a lot of time.
