Crash- who's seen it?

Holy Shit.

Everyone found it mind boggingly depressing?

What does that mean if I found it uplifting and impressively optimistic about mankind?

I mean even the biggest bastard in there plays hero and nearly everyone overcomes their inherent racism once they start seeing outside their self-absorbed worlds. I took it as optimistic that everyone's equal and no one is really evil or racist to an extreme, but that circumstance and prejudice make them so against their will. And that that belief is transient. Yeah, even the saints turn a dark side, but that's optimistic as well. People fuck up no matter how hard they try. Overall, it left me feeling better about the human race than I normally do.

I'm doing a serious self check now.

Luc- you're right about people growing through the movie. But, it was the process of the movie that disturbed. That and Ryan Phillipe's character- he didn't particularly improve. Oh and that whole thing with the little girl- damn. But to be fair, I really am one of those people who really prefers happy movies, cuz I'm a total baby.

It's in my Netflix queue so I'm not gonna read this thread. I know you folks, you'll give away the ending. ;)
