Vladimir...
Good, another name I didn't know...
I shrugged it off. At this point, what difference did it make? I was lucky I knew those who were here.
Joseph, the disfigured but still apparently strong vampire, exited and there was silence left between us. Aria spoke up just as I was deciding I couldn't take it any longer.
When she was finished, having explained a little about what was motivating Joseph and how she was thankful Kieth had saved her, not to mention the old witch (why was that familiar? COuld it be...?), I looked around, hoping we hadn't lost anyone. I should have been concerned about the other ring-bearers, but for some reason, I didn't want this human to leave. I wasn't sure if it was the bravery (stupidity) he'd shown in confronting the old vampire, or just that he was willing to help, without much real reason to. I considered what I had learned and guessed it made as much sense to him, then added his being human on top of all that and realized it had to be much harder for him to swallow than I.
He wants to believe us, I thought. Otherwise, he'd had gone already, if he would have even made it this far.
"It would be best if we all stuck together, Kieth and Joseph included," I stated. "We must find this witch, and we must move quickly. We may stop to feed if it is necessary, but the ease with which this aging and wounded vampire has found us has made it clear that his words of our carelessness ring true. I feel it would be wise not to give our opposition time to catch up to us. Just my thoughts. Aria, Kat, Ray. It's your show."
I waited, hoping that my words had drawn some attention away from those that had just been spoken.
