Darmus By Night

KyLissa

KyLissa let the cloak of shadows fall away as the last dim ray of the sun faded and died.

Seated on her mount in direct line of sight of the other members of this small party she changed, clothes and body, becoming taller, paler, her clothes changing to a black wispy, thin fabric that sheathed her lithe figure. (think Morticia of Aadams family)

With a soft whisper she called out to the were-hyena,

"Cervantes"

Thorne:

Catching up to Valdimer, Thorne stopped and reguarded the figure of KyLissa. She heard the name Cervantes and then turned her head to call back to the rouge. "You just seem to be pissing everybody off today. Any more interesting little tidbits of your past going to be popping up, or do we just get to deal with the ones here?" She then unfastened her cloak and took it off, laying it over Talesin's saddle with her bags, removing her gloves and stuffing them into her saddlebag. She reguarded KyLissa closely and then shook her head, smiling slightly at the sheer absurdity of this. She had been with this party for less than 24 hours, and she already had faced seeing more than she cared to.

Cervantes:

"Well THIS is gonna put a crimp in things..." Cervie sighed as he looked up toward the bar-maid he'd been with just the night before. "You look awfully pale thar, M'am..." Cervie called out to KyLyssa, you're a were-bitch, not a vampire... God, some people just have to be SOOO dramatic some times!" Cervie chided as he walked back up to Thorne, placing a hand on either side of her hips. "But look here... Even for a sweet little VIRGIN magess, this one is sooo much more tanned than you..." He called out to KyLyssa as he leaned himself against Thorne's posterior, sniffing slowly at her neck and shoulder.

Orion saw someone in the distance, he road out past Cervantes and Thorne, approaching the woman. "Excuse me mam but would you care to join us in the cabin? It will be cold out here soon." He noticed Kylssa looked over at Cervantes, "Are you worried about him? Believe me it's like the we hate Cervantes Club in there. Join in on the razing if you want."

Thorne:

Letting out a squeak of suprise, Thorne moved away from Cervantes and put Talesin between the were and herself. "I have asked you NOT to touch me, I've told you NOT to touch me, would you mind keeping your hands to yourself? For Crying out loud, sometimes I wonder if your ears just pick up the sounds of something you can hunt. You don't seem to be able to understand the common language when it comes out of my mouth." With that she shook her head to Orion and started walking Talesin to cool him off.

Cervantes:

"I understand you all too well my sweet Thorne... Perhaps more than you understand about yourself... But that is neither here nor there. Your scent tells me much that you would keep hidden, or... Do not even know..." Cervantes said as he kept a mere five paces behind Thorne, his lustful eyes never once leaving her form.

Thorne:

Twirling, Thorne faced Cervantes. The look on her face was one of sheer frustration. "You might understand the language, but you do not understand me. I've let you know my name is Thorne Bloodstone. My mother did not add a "Sweet" before the Thorne, but you persist in putting one there. You refuse to keep your hands off me, even though I would prefer them Far away from me. I've told you that I do not like being touched by someone that could commit such carnage as I saw you take to with relish today. Maybe I should just let Talesin kick you in the head, it might bring you to your senses. Or someone elses for that matter, since you seem to be lacking a set of your own. What makes you so sure you know Anything about me?" With that, she glared at him, waiting for a responce.

Cervantes:

"Thorne... Bloodstone...?" Cervantes repeated, seeming to hear her for the first time tonight. "You're... Kidding right?" He said with a grin. "Ah, doesn't matter..." He breathed in, purposefully putting himself upwind of her so he could catch her scent again. "You, my dear, smell... Mmm, more than human..." He looked upon her knowingly then.

Thorne:

Nearly screaming at him, Thorne clenched her teeth and took a breath. When she was sure that the words wouldn't come out as cursing and insults, she proceded in a calm, moderated tone, through still clenched teeth. "No, I am Not kidding, my name is Thorne Bloodstone, my mother was Jasmine Kincaid, and my father was George Bloodthorne. They were married, and she took his last name. They were both human, with two eyes, and two ears, so unless you're trying to imply something very insulting, you're wrong."

Orion was still trying to get Kylssa inside the cabin when he heard Thorne and Cervantes arguing. He yelled over to Cervantes, "Hey Cervy, with all respect man, maybe your taking this a bit too far. Why don't we call it a night and forget the whole thing in the morining. I'm sure Vlad would agree with me."

Cervantes:

"Nothing insulting about it, you're just not fully human... I can smell it on you. You're..." He sniffed almost experimentally. "You're part..." Sniffing again. "Part... Part... Mmm, dragon! ...I never made it with a dragon before!" Cervie exclaimed as he stayed well within five paces of her the entire time, and as he walked past Orion, he reached out and pushed the boy down, by the face. "Oh, shut up you, and its Valdimer, not VLAD! He'd split you in two for that little slip ye rottin zombie bitch-boy!" Cervie grumbled.

Thorne:

Looking outraged, Thorne glared at Cervantes before turning away quickly and continuing to walk Talesin. She was unaware of the power that had lashed out from her and started a small fire on Cervantes' cloak.

Orion reached into his mouth and pulled out his teeth, hurling them toward Cervantes. His teeth clasped onto Cervantes right ear and proceeded to chew, taking off part of his earlobe.

Cervantes:

Reaching up toward his ear, Cervie pulled the set of jaws free, holding them tightly in his palm as he craned his head back to see where that 'flickering light' was coming from. He let out a small chirp of surprise as he patted the small flame out. The jaws in his palm were still trying to bite him so he lifted them, held tightly in front of him and proceeded to force them open with his thumbs... He then took ahold of a tooth between thumb and index finger and ripped it violently free of the gum line. Looking up toward Orion, he smiled as he entoned. "She loves me... She loves me not..." Ripping a second out as he did... His ear was already healed by the time the third tooth fell to the ground.

Thorne:

Finally having walked Talesin enough to cool the horse, and to an extent, her temper, down, Thorne stopped. Sighing, she tied Tal to a tree and took off his saddle and all of her gear. She unpacked the brushes, and got to work on his coat, muttering to herself as she worked, thinking that nobody could hear her. "The man is utterly impossible! He thinks he can waltz over everyone in this quest, and meet no resistence, even when it comes to bedding a person. Then he so regally announces that I'm part dragon, and proceeds to assume that means that he has a free pass to bed me!" She sighed before expressing all of her stress and frustration in one clear, rather loud word. "MEN!"

OOC:  Tyler? Who is Tyler? Did you mean your character Orion? And did he just walk back over to KyLEssa?

OOC: Hey all, I just wanted to address something really quick. I just went back and realized I was asked not to fool around too much with anyone else's character. I apologize, I'm used to threads where we write long posts and if we have another character do something like move, walk, or giggle it's no problem. I realize this isn't a thread like this, so little things like giggling are a big deal. Sorry if I caused any trouble with that post.

Valdimer

Val had had enough. He flew off his horse, and with his elbow, he pushed Cervantes out of the way as he pulled out his sword. Looking Orion right in the eyes, he said "I have had enough of this bickering!" and with that he ran him through. The wound wouldnt kill him though, he was undead after all. Lifting him up in the air, he continued speaking to Orion. "If you so much as touch my rude, bastardly, arrogant, selfish, womanizing friend agian......I will tear you limb from limb, drink what little blood you have left, and feed you to my own dragon!!!!" Holding Orion in the air, one hand on his large two-handed sword, he flung him, his undead body sliding off his sword, some of his entrails still attached. Valdimer watched as he hit a tree hard, and fell to the ground.

"Now," he said, not really looking at anyone, but still speaking to all who could here...."for the last time....It's VALDIMER!!!! Not Vlad! So help me, if I hear it mispronounced one more time...." he said, mounting his horse, and riding over to Thorne.....

Thorne:

Looking up at Valdimer, Thorne nodded before going back to brushing out Talesin's coat. She concentrated on the horse, using the familiar motions of grooming to calm her down. "Do you need something Valdimer? Or is this about the fact that I've told off your 'rude, bastardly, arrogant, selfish, womanizing friend' as you put it?"

Valdimer

"No," he said, letting out slight laugh. "With you, it's different. He's made it a notion to go after you.....and you do what you need to to keep his nasty little hands off you. I give credit to you for that." he said, a smile on his lips. "With Orion on the other hand......" he trailed off, his action form moments before speaking for themselves.

Loosely tying his own horse to a near by tree, Val turned his attention back to Thorne, "I'm off to get some fire wood, care to join me? It will give you a chance to calm down, and get away from Cervantes for a bit."........

Thorne:

Nodding, Thorne packed up her grooming gear before dusting off her hands. "I'll come gladly, I need a breather with cool air, not hot breath, on the back of my neck." She then took her cloak and fastened it loosely around her shoulders to ward off a chill, running a hand over her long hair, which had nearly come loose from its pins.

After lying on the ground for about 20 minutes, Orion picked up his entrails and teeth. Rather than sort out his guts at that moment, he opened his canteen and took a sip of the aged wine he had been buried with. Orion walked over to Cervantes and held out the canteen. "Hey, peace offering OK?"

OOC: Everyone, OK, I addressed the issue with a pm to Raven. I am adjusting to the more turn based posting method you post by. Rather than pull rank on me, please politely say, "hey your going to far here" and I'll gladly fix the problem. Vald, sorry if I called you Vlad, I think you can see where one might make the mistake. Alright? We cool here?

Valdimer Elsworth

Valdimer waited as Thorne put her things away and put her cloak on. Leading the way, picking up a decent sized log here and there, he said, " You really dont need to worry about Cervantes too much, though I would still keep one eye trained on him. He makes advances, but his bark is definatly bigger than his bite. Ignore him, that is what I usually do, and it seems to work." he said, laughing. " He is a decent fellow, once you get to know him, and he is someone you would want on your back in a tight spot." He looked back to Thorne as he picked up firewood.........

Thorne:

Arching an eyebrow, Thorne followed after Valdimer, listening to him and watching the logs pile up. "I understand, but I just have never felt comfortable with someone touching me and breathing down my neck. Call it a foible. Mind you, I don't think he likes Talesin after what happened. I will try though." She then looked at how much firewood Valimer had and let out a short laugh. "Um, do you want me to find you some kindling, or were you just planning on a forrest fire?"

Valdimer

Looking at the pile in his arms, Val let out a laugh, "Oh....ummmm, well, errr, a forest fire wouldnt do us any good, no. Hehe, It's habit." he said, smiling, and then letting out a laugh. "Yes, kindling would be good." he said, between bits of laughter. "You dont have to be his best friend, and even though he is a rude, arrogent, bastardly, womanizing type of person.....he is my friend, and I trust him. Not with my purse or my women," letting out a laugh, he continued, " but I do trust him. I owe him my life, and he owes me his as well." Valdimer stood for a moment, holding the logs in his arms, and looked down to Thorne........
