It is not often that I feel this way, but it is so very true....

Dawn sat in the corner booth, she played the conversation back in her head, over and over. Where was he? Anticipation filled her gut and anxiety filled her mind. Dawn was beginning the exploration of New England by meeting the locals, so far everyone had be truly hospitable.
Dawn played with her phone as to help pass the wait time, he was fashionable late but Rod promised he was the best in town and he would not disappoint.

"Dawn" he said.
She looked up from her phone, there he was, a true silver fox, light blue eyes, greying hair, a very salt and pepper beard, neatly trimmed. His smile was wide like his shoulders and his skin dark for the kiss of sunlight. He wore a black polo and khaki cargo shorts reaching just below his knee and canvas boat shoes.
Dawn greeted him with a grin and deep hazel eyes.
Rod didn't sit next to her, but instead reached for her hand and nodded. "Let's go" and she scooted from the booth as they walked out the door to see the city.

They walk down the friendly city sidewalks, he showed her all of the bestests. The best baker, the best book store, the best coffee, they walked the entire town and then he took her to the boardwalk. It was quiet this time of year, not much hustle and bustle but it was feeding Dawn's curiosity to see the town so close to the sea, so much more than a clear spring or a murky farm watering hole.

Rod led her to the beach, they walked along the waves and talked, Dawn was mesmerized with the smell in the air and the breeze against her skin. Rod stopped and caressed her face, he pulled her in close and they dance to the music of the ocean.

"Would you lay and watch the stars with me?" He ask curiously.
Dawn looked about and hasn't noticed there among the beach was a beautiful sunset, a fire, blanket and even a picnic basket.
They were sure to see stars and maybe even the galaxy...
