oh my! such a big kiss!

i'm beginning to wind down a little. the day was long and tedious... i got two chapters and a portion of a third edited and revised today. i had to quit cause the music i chose to work to was making me cranky instead of allowing me to think clearly.

and then tonight, i had two long distance phone calls from some friends i adore talking to. i would like to think they were good conversations.... and helpful to all of us.

I find it best to not exhaust the creative process by expending all my best efforts and to crave more than to satisy myself and then leave my project for days awaiting more flow of energy.

Friends are a great distraction when the conversation is positive.

i also understand about being too possessive of one's own works to let another touch them... i don't. what i do consists mainly of the 'extra set of eyes' that some need for fine tuning. and i automatically begin to edit as i read.

i hope you call your friend soon. i'm sure he'd like to hear from you too.

and yes, a kiss is indeed just the beginning as well as the prelude to further and greater exploration... and is, quite well put, the foundation for what is to follow.
