please forgive the lateness, or earliness, of this reply au_man - lit was lagging so badly last night, that it was frustrating me.

Never a problem as it gives me something to look forward to each day I get back on Lit... I ran out of steam about 9 PST last night and went to bed early.

i also understand about being too possessive of one's own works to let another touch them... i don't. what i do consists mainly of the 'extra set of eyes' that some need for fine tuning. and i automatically begin to edit as i read.

I have more time than most and have found that if I leave a story for a day or two I can smooth out the rough edges. I haven't submitted anything to Lit but have a couple stories saved that I probably should give another reading/edit.

i hope you call your friend soon. i'm sure he'd like to hear from you too.

I know I should especially since we have moved and have changed phone numbers...

He called last after a few glasses of wine. He isn't much of a drinker. We only chat for a few and then the women take over...lol

and yes, a kiss is indeed just the beginning as well as the prelude to further and greater exploration... and is, quite well put, the foundation for what is to follow.

Where Magic Mountain is today...

Back then it was cattle ranches and small farms. Now they grow houses.

We did have T.V. repairmen that changed tubes on the black and white T.V. and there weren't remote controls either...

Grew up in high desert so we didn't get much snow... Twice I remember in 50 years...
