I am trying to rest, really I am. I've been in bed all day, except for leaving to get my children from school.

Usually I am much better equipped to handle my own illnesses, but this hit me out of nowhere and required an unexpected, urgent surgical intervention. I wasn't mentally prepared for this.

Now I feel like a bad wife, mom and employee because I'm down on my butt and can't help anyone or do anything constructive. I've got 30 people coming to my house next week for Thanksgiving ... and there is TONS of stuff I need to be doing to prepare. Now I'm useless

This has been a shitty week

I've been pretty good today, except that I did just clean the kitchen. I couldn't help myself. I had to unload then reload the dishwasher .. that was all.
