I woke up this morning and I felt a kind of serenity. After all this time I think I've finally let it go and realized how stupid it was for me to feel the way I did. I'm thankful that I'm employed. I know the following will sound like I hate working, but it's not that. My difficulty is that as a new hire I dislike not being trained. I'm new to this job, and believe training is vital. I'm unable to show I'm an asset when I continually have to ask co-workers to help me.

Further standing around in a business is not my idea of "working". I wasn't hired into a janitorial role, however I have no problems cleaning the store...in fact that's what I did during down time today. I need to see the end results of my working. Filling a copier w/ paper is not that hard to do. I want more responsibility.

Thanks for making this week of extremely confusing training more than bearable. I was really dreading it...expecting a droning, boring personality on the other end of the phone and Web. You made me smile and laugh and I possibly even learned a few things. I guess I'll find out next week when I fly solo - although the purpose of a lot of those numbers still confuses me. If I have to ask for help at least I might sound like I know what I'm talking about. Thanks, also, for not making too big a deal of it when around hour 3 each day I started to zone out.
