Decadents & Dropouts OOC

I was thinking on contacting DormantEvil and making Ma'ant appear as an acquaintance to Relic. After all, illithids tend to deal with the drow more commonly than with other races. That said, perhaps their would be acquaintances from the underworld.

But I love your suggestion, Belinda. I can figure Ma'ant being disguised between the 'high society', playing a wealthy merchant or a nobleman under his own illusions. But how to introduce him in the tale? I could guess that he could be Phyliss contact in the next settlement the group reaches (if that's soon enough! I'm aching to join!) , even if she ignores his true nature as a mind flayer.

It depends a little how soon Relic is able to answer Gryph, becaue Phyliss will not leave without the halfdragon.

But, if it is acceptable that Gryph takes long enough to get there to allow the sun getting up, waking Phyliss and the others, there is still the possibility of another boat or ship passing the cog, or someone walking or riding alon the river. Of course, it would be rather peculiar if they would meet by pure coincidence, but if Ma'ant has some reason or plan to search for Phyliss or someone else on board, he should have magic possibilities to locate her. Even if not, a boat full of monsters who left the docks after a blaze of fire, should draw enough attention to be the talk of the day. And as they are hardly any gorgons to be found outside of dungeons, it would not be to hard to guess who this gorgon is. (Phyliss is not well known in the lands where she is travelling now. She had reasons to leave rather urgently her former place, but there are many travelers who might kow her from seeing)

I like it.

I can thing of something along this lines... perhaps this another cog (coming from down the river, on the oposing direction of the group's cog) would be crewed by blank, absent minded sailors, mind thralls of the illithid, who'd be in disguise as a merchant, owner of the vessel. Perhaps he is searching for someone...

One of the first things to denouce him would be, why does his servants are all... weird? And what with his voice? (he'd probably be faking accents).

I have a feeling that some people are getting my character's description confused. So I'm going to put down an update so everyone knows what Trunfor looks like.

He appears as a human standing 5'10" and weighs 159 lb. He has blood red scaly skin. Has clawed hands and clawed feet (Not hooves, only tiefling usually have them). Has bat-like wings that measure 10 feet in length when fully spread out. His horns measure about 6" and run along his head (They don't stick upwards at all.) He has blood red eyes and black hair. He also has a tail, about 5 ft long.

For an example picture of what a half-fiend looks like, check the DND Monster Manuel 3.5 and look under Half-Fiends.

I've got some headache today, so I am posting not so much. As for going on:
I hate godmodding, but sometimes there has to be a little of it to get things going, if some players are absent for longer times and forget to give an explanation how to deal with the character meanwhile. I think we should find a rule. How about that:
If a character is longer absent then three days, and this absence slows down or blocks any other player, god-modding is allowed, but only very limited.
It is not allowed to speak or act directly for anyone, but it is allowed to make a general statement about the characters actions, as long as they are credible and do not collide with the characters concept.
For example, if the group is under attack, and a player is away, but his character present, nobody should say that the character flees or hides, if he or she is known as brave. But the god-modding should kept as simply as possible and only be used if unavoidable. In this example, somebody should simply state "character x was busy defending the left side" an not something like "xy shouted obscenities at the attacker and chopped of the head of an enemy, laughing madly, etc".

Sorry for not being around, guys. Lots of stuff going on on top of me being sick. Hopefully I will be back in the swing of things by tomorrow. Z can just be sleeping things off if that helps out.

Z is asleep by now and taken along. Naunet has dissapeared in the water, but she is able to follow the boat if she likes. We have to think how to deal with Relic. Sureley she is able to follow the cog on land, but Deathknight has an encounter with her, so let us see how to solve that.
Ma'ant can easily be onboard of another coag or boat and disguise himselfe as a merchant that met Phyliss once in one of the houses she stayed. I have an idea about that.

If you find some time, Nidhogg, you might work out a new report.

Sorry guys, I've been rather slack with posting lately. But will try harder to keep up now that I've got Relic back to you guys.

I`m going to wait for DormantEvil and Deathsknight and Nidhogg to catch up. I don`t want to get to far ahead and make them have to do a lot of reading.

If DeathsKnight and I take too long, you could have the merchant ship arrive whilst the cog is still waiting.

Perhaps it could use the cover of checking to make sure the cog isn't damaged since its stationary, or something like that.

If something bad does happen, we could head over to lend a hand then. Whilst it is smooth sailing we can simply converse for a few more posts before meeting up.

I'll catch up with you guys later. I'll have Relic stay out of the light for at least an RP day, to give Phyliss and the crew time to go over what will happen to Haerdon.

Then I shall return with trinkets, and useful objects for everyone. And be a good little drow and stop causing trouble.

Damn I wish I was there to yell something out for that fight.

Way to go Gryph!

Not so much the barbarian...but the company beforehand.

So, who would like to RP some bandits trying to take Relics goods on her way back through the forest?

Huh huh?

Uhm no thanks, I've got a hurt character, one dead so it's time to get some tlc or sex for one of my characters :p

Well...I'd help you out for both of those...

Its a bit soon to have Relic return isn't it, lol.

Okay, so everyone can just assume my last posts show Relics activities over the day. My next post will be when it's tomorrow for you guys. Down river a bit more, or maybe at the next town or small river port.

^^

Will keep that in mind and try to move things along while you are now active

I'll have a good couple of hours tomorrow morning and afternoon ( somewhere between 12 - 6 hours ago).

So I'll get Relic back then.

I have thought about Nidhoggs character. It would be rather disturbing to have an uncoscnious body lying on deck all the time. I propose he will recover as much as to get up and act, but he has a temporarily and partial memory loss. Of course the "monsters" will keep him on board, and Skandölf and Colin who are short of some help train him as third sailor, so he has something to do and a place. If Nidhogg returns, Z will regain his lost memory.
