having a couple of WIPs is a good thing. When one gets stuck, you have other things to work on.But I don't want to wind up with a WIP folder like @StillStunned 's.

Focus is hard too.Something is wrong with me.
This morning as part of my morning checking-in-on-Lit routine I saw this thread and figured I should say that I look forward to when I can play around with so many ideas at the same time, because right now I'm committed to finishing my ongoing series. Or just ignore this thread entirely. I've seen too many complaints about series going unfinished, I don't want to do that here, for an idea I basically still like and is just taking longer than expected. So I've been trying really, really hard to stick to it. I've got the next episode in the can but don't want to hit Publish on it until the one after it is ready, and ideally the one after that as well.
However, another part of my morning routine is checking certain webcomics, one of which seemed perfect for this site. I thought about posting it to the AH, or the Story Ideas forum, or seeing if another forum I'm less familiar with would also make sense, but then it occurred to me, I could just plain write a story about it myself. And it would even fit the current holiday theme, which I didn't have an entry for otherwise. As of this minute I'm 1200 words in, probably about a quarter of the total.
Ugh. So much for focus!
