I had to google perogies The recipies seemed to be of a potato/cheese/&onion filling. Lil Smokies are sausages? Do you use them as filling?

They do sound good with bacon and onions.

I'm not a great beer drinker (unusual for a Qld girl). Did like Stienlager from NZ years ago. I wonder if they still make it?

No we cooked them in the slow cooker with a mix of tomato ketchup, jam, teruyaki sauce, Used tooth picks to eat after they were ready. Yes perogies are usually potato and cheese, maybe some bacon bits and onions in a pastry pocket. They can be boiled or pan fried. Served sour cream and usually some sauted onions and Ukarainian sausage. Good with cabbage rolls too.

Good evening to everyone Sorry it's been a while since I've been here last, life's been bit busy. Still so much to try and catch up on here in the Oasis...


Angel: I'm doing OK and hanging in there. I've missed you too and I hope you're doing well.

SMT: Congratulations on your divorce, I know how important it is to you. Now you have the freedom to live as you wish. I've missed you as well. I'm not active on FL any more, I don't have the time to keep up with it.

Triskele: Happy to hear about the rain! I hope the fires aren't threatening you and your loved ones. I worry about you. I could use some of your warmth though because I'm getting tired of feeling cold.

Papa: Keep the island music going, please I need the thought of something tropical to stay warm...

Goddess: I've never had a perogie but I'd be happy to try that and a Jamaican Rum Zombie with you

OX: Slide up next to me in the tub, sweetie! We'll keep each other warm and rub out the stiff parts...

Yea haw all the naked divorces women hanging about!!! And it seems that some of you wimmin can cook.
Did that pearl necklace trick with the missus the other night. She was pleasantly amused.

Sick as hell here though, cough is deep in the lungs ( running in 20 degrees didn't help this morning) and my ears are plugged up. I think a hot chi with a liberal lace of 151 Rum is in order.

There are still areas where the fires are out of control and houses are being lost. We're heading into another heatwave, too. Bad, bad dry summer this year - and last year we had no summer at all!!!!

DB is workin too hard to be much fun, lately. Contemplating usin those ropes to kidnap him and drag him back to the Oasis. Too much work makes DB a dull boy!!! (THAT should get a response! )

I guess I have been rather dull lately. No need for rope, though. I can sleep on my floaty chair, if it still floats lol!

Had the bad luck to be knocked out by a volleyball from a neighbouring court when I was 11. Didn't see it coming. Freak accident but I never quite enjoyed playing it after that. Sorta freaky. 2 a side beach volleyball was fun, though. Only 1 court, too, where we played.

And suck on a drink that has a fancy umbrella and watch the girls play nude volleyball, and chase Doh boi.

Laast year was one of the least fire seasons in a few years in the Interior. The years before that were pretty bad and we even had some brush fires here as the ground was so dry form lack of rain.

Thanks for the Canadian content. There is a big Carribean Connection in Canada being Canada and many Carribean Countries are part of the British Commonwealth.

One of the all time great Carribean bands. Byron Lee has passed away but not sure if the band is still going. I like a little heat lol. Facing South so will get more then our old place.
