Dropping in for a quick hello before I crash.

New job is great but the days are looooooooooong!!!! The place has been without a manager since mid November, so there's lots to do. A system fail today was just icing on the cake!

Still, all should be subdued to a dull roar next week.

I hope everyone at the Oasis are keeping warm and well watered - or are able to find someone to help them get that way!

Hard work organizing a train wreck isn't it? At the end of the day, depending on how things go I know you can use a nice double Glenlivet, a soak in the tub and some time on the table.

Just went to a 21st. Surrounded by young toned enlisted men. *sigh*

Had to chill and let go of Protective Mama mode while daughter and goddaughter were taught drinking games by the Army and Navy's finest. They both turned 18 in September. My wiley daughter remembered her mothers advice about 1 vodka, 1 water. My goddaughter drank cowboys like chocky milk. Bugga. Seemed very friendly with one fellow but she came home ok, when we had to leave. THEN tells me that she wasn't interested in him that way - he was holding her up!!!!! Gonna havta talk to that girl real soon!!! She leaves to start uni in a month.

I'm joinin you in the tub, Rosie. Maybe we can test that theory the scientists came up with on Ox and DB?

Joe, You can sure come on by. There's a screen so big over by the bar that you'll think yer part of the huddle. Women here are fairly randy and wild. Nice place to just hang out.

Not sure what a 21st is....But I'm in 4th of the 2nd and we can drink too!! We don't invite 18 year olds though. That'd be a disaster. We were throwing down beers with our Dutch buddies yesterday and it was beer at 0900 with the Germans last week. A Captain that just left gave me a bottle of Jim Beam Black and a bottle of Chivas Regal. That means I got enough for you and me Tresk.

I think we are skipping the Superbowl. With Beyonce as the half time show that was the final straw. Should be some hockey on tv and following Rugby online. Team Canada men's team is playing in New Zealand and the women's Under 17 is playing in the US this weekend.

We did away with 21 in the 1970's here in BC. I don't think any Canadian provinces are 21 anymore. Either 18 or 19. Driving is 16 and voting is 18.

I like to put a quarter in the bottom, pour coffee till you can't see it, then schnapps until you can see it then The baileys until you can't then schnaps until you can then add Coffee for the rest.

I hear ya. We really make too much of the Super bowl. I remember being told to go out on missions at Christmas because "Haji won't expect us too" and lost Soldiers. But got to stay in because it's the Super Bowl.

I like to watch Football. But I know it's just a game seems the US forgot that.

So you use a beer stein for that? I have one ceramic German beer stein I use for coffee.

I have dozens of beer steins and I use one for Coffee at work. I also have the 1 Liter one I use to drink 3 or four full of water through out the day. And beer. I use a big coffee mug for that though, and lately I use Vodka not Schnaps
