Ok, I was shocked and awed today for the first day back from leave. Hard run, then hours of insanity moving from one meeting to another.

I hear you about the hours, I usually do 13+ a day.

Playing Mabel in Pirates of Penzance, but not full musical (thank God!) It's an evening where 3 are performed and a notary gives insights into the behind the scenes stuff. Good fun, and should be hilarious.

The radio program concentrates on female blues and jazz artists, but not solely.

We had a huge skirmish up north, Townsville I think, involving Army wives and a facebook page. I don't understand how the stupid darlings thought they could carry on like they did and not get reefed for it!? On facebook fgs! I really feel for the soldiers they're married to. Sounded like they were all non-coms and will take a hit.

Hope your man comes outta this one unscathed when the time comes.

My last job was like that. Not enough hours to pay the bills. I'm dreaming of a full time job without the extra hours.

We had a festival here all weekend. Missed most of it. Raced down to participate in one event, still in work clobber, and then raced back to work.

Thought I'd see one day's events, seeing it was my day off but ended up working.

End of whinge. At least I have a job.

To straighten the record..... I work with terrific people. I do love my job. Just want to work the hours I'm paid for and have one psycho fall off the planet.

I wouldn't mind 25 hours. My full time job was from 28 to 35 hours,

Thanks Trisk. Now I need somebody to hold me back!! we had classes today and a whole day dedicated to The Army's Sexual Harassment and Assault prevention program. Watched a documentary, held group discussions stuff like that. mean while I was fighting with Regiment. Got home in a fit, ready to beat a Sergeant Major's ass. Trying to have a beer, relax and take the long look at things.

It ain't working.

I'm having real trouble getting our 2 blokes to take the Workplace Health and Safety framework seriously. The physical stuff like holes in the floor, items projecting into walkways and that type of thing they get and are great with. But sexual harassment??? They just say 'yes please!' My Frenchman says that it's his 'cultural right to receive it' They are both very close to getting a slap upside the head! Which, of course, we women will deny ever happened.
