Got a long trek down the mountain and the coast for a meeting tomorrow. The upside is that the weather is supposed to be brilliant!!!

Had an interesting drink tonight. Butterscotch Schnapps, Baileys, milk and icecream. Very nice as a sweet. Not too many though.

It was wonderful not to wear layers. My first real touch of Spring. Even if it's not due til the weekend.

Water was cool but not freezing. Fish and chips were delish.

Didn't even mind the thieving seagulls.

was lovely, but is too sweet to have too many of. Perfect to end off a night. We have a tradition at the end of a jam night to finish with butterscotch schnapps.

Now I want some fish and chips. Been over a year since having any.

The Boatshed is a tradition. The family have been there forever. Local government down there tried to shut them down to redevelop that foreshore. There was such an outcry that they left them there and developed around them. It worked out well because it kept the whole place family friendly. The shed was prettied up but never lost it's atmosphere. And the prices are still very reasonable.

I can still smell the salt on my shirt.

Well, the ticket's all paid for. So I'll be in Savannah late October into November.

Looking forward to it, but, of course, now my car starts to crack up! Dodgy exhaust and it's over revving but no one can pick why. If it keeps going I'll sell it to the scappers and do without for a while.

The Aussies got a new RCSM. I haven't met him yet.

I could do with a nice cold Pilsner beer and a few fingers of THE Glenlivet. A nice washing of the back would be nice, followed by some warm grapeseed oil. It's getting dry and itchy.

Good luck in Savannah. Are you flying straight in? or into Atlanta? I didn't realize it was about a five hour drive. I bought my kids tickets from Atlanta to Munich, didn't realize there'd be such a long haul.

I like her coz she's raw. No voice synth. Can front an honest band and rock it out or throw in a thoughtful one without going overboard. She holds her ground. Would like to see her.

Flyin straight in. Saved very little by going to Atlanta. Picking up a car at the airport. A bit nervous, tho. Why O why do you guys drive on the wrong side of the road???????

My darling son took oodles of photos and film on his phone and then took them with him!!!!! my phone is gone and I'm using my old iphone3 that's got the collywobbles. He tried to send and I didn't receive. 'Hopin he'll get his act together and email them.

Oh! and his AFL season is over, sooooooooooooooooo.......

he's starting grid iron on Sunday! I won't understand a thing!!!
