a funny little story for around the TUB

Last week, my oldest son was getting ready to head back to basic training. He planned to shave his head in true Basic Combat Training style. He knocks on my bedroom door, where I was in there putting clothes away.

“Hey dad can I borrow those clippers on Mom’s dresser?”

“Sure, knock yourself out.”

Later that night while we were out to eat, my wife asks him where he got the clippers, did he clean up the mess you know, all those MOM questions. Then she looks at me and grins.

“You do know what your dad and I use those clippers for, right?”

You could see the realization come over him slowly, “
Nooooooooooooooooooo!”

“Dad how could you let me take those and not say anything?”

Because it was funny.

I thought his mom was going to hurt herself laughing. I mean, really? Come on. We are modern, hygienic people. A little grooming the garden is nice. Since they shaved my back for the Tattoo, the hair up there has gone nuts too.
