Did “working-class whites” switch from Obama to Trump BECAUSE the economy was better?

Because they knew they needed him.

No, they didn't.......Obama fucked them up the ass, that's why we have Trump. :D

They voted for him because sounded/looked the best.

They picked Trump over Clinton in 2016 when it was no longer quite so obvious that they needed a Democrat.

LMFAO!!!!!

Yea that was it. I'm sure the DNC stabbing them in the back and laughing at them smugly as they began a "fuck white people campaign" had NOTHING to do with with their total rejection of the DNC nation-fuckin-wide. :)

Keep up with your desperate need to paint white people as racist at every opportunity, tell all your (D) friends to do the same......it's working well for you.

Not much, no.

Not much, no.

LMFAO!!!! :D

The insane level of willfully ignorant partisanship you have never ceases to amaze KO.

Keep up the "Fuck white people, they are all racist!!" campaign......it's going to win you a LOT of elections.;)

Not until we start it. Ain't happened yet.

How much Kool-Aid have you chugged?

Social justice (D) and their various special cause factions all regularly demonize the shit out of white people and men as racial/gender groups, on a regular basis. The apex of hate being pointed toward white men.

EVERY time they use the term "white privilege" or "male privilege" they do it.

Right on up to the numerous speeches from (D) leadership, that talk down to white people as though they are some kind of evil force that needs to be persecuted for the crimes of their fathers. Right on up to BLM rallies calling for the property and blood of white people and feminist who think women are entitled to have of everything that men do because equal results is equal opportunity.

No, they don't. Calling attention to the existence of white or male privilege is neither anti-white nor anti-male, it is merely pro-equality.

*chuckle*

Anti-Affirmative Action

We must oppress whites to level the playing field.

Yea, they do.

It is anti-white and anti-male because it DIRECTLY implies that people of that race/gender have inherent privilege at the expense of others.

Which is complete and total fuckin' bullshit.

You can't name a single privilege that is inherent to being white.

And the only "male" privilege there is frivolous things like the ability to piss standing up and mere realities of biology more so than a social or legal privilege....ya can't name anything legit.

No, it does not imply that, it asserts it; but that theory, whether true or false, is neither anti-white nor anti-male. It is not anti-rich simply to point out that the rich are rich, nor to point out that that gives them political and social influence far out of proportion to their numbers, nor to point out that they successfully use that influence to get whatever they want out of government and public policy regardless of how it affects the rest of us. One can make anti-rich arguments out of all that, but the starting point is not inherently anti-rich, it is simply a true sociological observation.

You might as well ask me to prove the existence of earth and water. If you say you can't see it for yourself, you're simply lying.

Actually, what I've seen in my industry before I retired was a constant effort to diversify newsrooms at the expense of quality. I took an annual online survey that took about five minutes to complete, mostly because the staff at our daily was quite small.
And I never bent to the forces of diversity. When the survey asked what I'd done in that regard, I always answered that I hired the best candidate available and didn't care where they came from or what their skin color was.
If there were any minority candidates interested in working where I was, they hid it well.
Women, meanwhile, were in every newsroom I ever worked in.
I will say that the last hire I made was difficult mostly because all the candidates were recent grads more adept at talking into a camera about something than writing about it.

The success or failure or unintended consequence of programs and policies meant to mitigate the effects of white/male privilege does not disprove its existence.

Here, read this.

That has nothing to do with the privilege question, but it may foreshadow a future where talking -- for better or for worse -- increasingly replaces writing. Well, we still have the Internet, which encourages literacy as it is primarily a text-based medium. In its current iteration, that is; if demand emerges, sites will emerge where people communicate primarily through speech. Then all these talkers will figure out they already have telephones, and the Internet will be shut down.

Oh good we're in agreement.

And it's total fucking bullshit.

Calling white people oppressors, even in a really polite way, is anti-white, same for males.

Especially when it's an absolute lie.

it is simply a true sociological observation.

It's a racist lie. :)

Ya know, KO, I really don't think reading any more of your bullshit links that you agree with makes any difference. I believe there is equal opportunity in this country and you don't. I know I would have been a fool to pass up the best available candidate for an opening in my newsroom; you believe people like me did it routinely in order to preserve a way of life that never existed, at least where I worked.

No but the fact that you nor anyone else on the left can name a white privilege does.

It's a make believe term for lefties who want to pretend it's 1917 instead of 2017 so they have somewhere to direct their blame for failing at life.

I wonder what it's like to live in KO's shoes, where it is automatic to assume the absolute worst about others and the country he lives in.

I don't, whole country is full of shit heads.

Just look at our congress......that's us.

It's the same childish logic that makes other radicals like KO claim that those who voted for Trump or for Brexit, did it because "they're racists".

When in fact for a signif. nomber of people, their vote was driven by economic considerations, and was anti- establishment and anti- globalization.
(Only time will tell if tgey were misguided)

How hard in your head do you have to be, to claim that half of your co- nationals are racists who encourage fascism?
