Did ANY Democrat watch the Democrat debate?

So, punk, do ya feel lucky...

Holy Devil: My threads have nothing to do with Republican fears but with Rand's fears for the willingness of a free society to throw that freedom away under mob rule...

BRAVE NEW DEMOCRATS

President Bush used his weekly radio address to point out that Congress has failed to do the one thing the Constitution directs it to do, investigate the Executive branch...

No, just kidding, to initiate the bills that fund the government.

The Democrat response?

Hide behind a 12 year-old in order to say, "Bush hates children..."

;) ;)

Didn't they already finishg off like 10 of the appropriation bills that 109th republican congress never got to because they were trying to protect america from gay marriage?

Of course, I'm sure you bashed the republicans plenty for failing in their responsibility then.

The fact is that no congress since the mid-90's has gotten them done on time.

but don't let that get in the way of a little partisan bashing.

And you're the objective one as you keep tellng us. You're the one calling as it is with no regard to party, a real independent thinker...

Right...

I think it's pathetic that the government can't get a budget in place on time.
Doesn't matter if they are democrats or republicans.

I was just pointing out how you had no problem with it when the "your party" didn't get them done in time. ;)

mid 90's.... Hmmm, that would be the era of the "Permanent Republican Majority" in Congress..

And now that this Congress is backed up due to unfinished business of the last and the perpetual stalling of the republicans in the Senate..

Suddenly being on time is important to the "I'm not a Republican".

Now it's is absolutely critical. Of course, providing a critical "check and balance" to the executive and legislative branches has conversely diminished in importance.

Funny how that works, isn't it? ;)

All admirable intellectual stands Byron, no doubt, but if Jerry Brown was running and had a chance of winning, I'd be forced to use my vote as a means of self defense.
The President's job isn't to make laws, but to enforce the laws made by the legislature.

People are led to fear that all hell will break loose if some unapproved candidate is elected President, but secretly that's not the case.

Take an honest look at the current occupant of the office and then tell me what I have to fear from any person of integrity that might replace him.

Well Byron, that is the operative word, isn't it. I don't doubt Bushs integrity, even if I have concerns about his value system and his policies. While I don't particularly care for the man I have but to consider the alternative when begin to question my use of my vote.

I have no doubt I'll be faced with the same dilemma next year. And considering who the top Dems are right now, I'll probably vote for the Republican candidate again. (I'm assuming McCain won't make the cut here.)

I remind myself that even Washingtons integrity was called into question, especially by a large group of whiskey makers out in western PA.

A year ago I had no doubts Hillary would win the election. Now it looks like the Dems are going to self-destruct again. Hardly a week goes by without them shooting themselves in the foot.

Maybe MoveOn.org is actually a Republican plot. Yeah, that's it.

You're just Mister Everybody Lay Out Your Cards Guy these days.

Who put you in charge of the Pearly Gates, anyway?
