You do know that the Kurds filled in their defensive barriers at our request to appease Turkey's fears with the promise we would protect them? How about living up to our promise? I dont know....simple ideals...honor...honesty...fairness...not supporting war crimes?

Sparks will inevitably fly, because liberals see US's intervention as a betrayal (9/11, plus radicalized regime) and conservatives see it as geostrategic/ protecting US assets

but it'd be a great debate.

I might eventually start one myself over the weekend if nobody does, although

Wait until you realize the deals Russia already has working with Turkey. 🤷

NATO agreement states that if one NATO member is militarily assaulted, all other NATO members must come to its military defense. Bozos in this thread demand that American troops militarily defend "the Kurds" against a NATO member, which would technically mean that America would then have to also attack itself for moving militarily against Turkey, a full NATO member. The absolute inanity of that logically requires automatic disengagement from it.

Which is exactly why the US needs not be a member of NATO any longer.

Let Turkey, "the Kurds", Syria, Iran and Russia monkeyfuck each other all they care to, and let NATO, minus the US, deal with their own backyard however apathetically they like.

Once out of NATO, America then needs to disengage from ALL its foreign alliances within the UN, and the most efficient way to do that is for the US to withdraw from the United Nations itself, and tell it the lease is up and they need to relocate elsewhere. Berlin, Paris, Moscow or Beijing, any of them would be better, truer hosts for the socialist/statist/globalist UN.

Then, American can really start seriously addressing the anti-"Republican Form of Government" domestic enemies to the Constitution already legion within its own borders.

The world pleaded with us to take out ISIS, we did no thanks to our allies. We asked Europe to take their share of ISIS combatants and they turn their backs on us, fuckem all. We need to get the fuck out, let the EU deal with ISIS.
