Maintaining the status quo is stupid as long as people keep dying. If people have to die, then I prefer it to be the other guy's team down in the ditch.

BTW, it was General Mark Milley who suggested to the President those troops be moved to a safer more advantageous location. They are not in immediate danger as we speak. Let the Syrians and the Kurds fight the Turks and the Russians. Originally our presence there was supposed to be temporary, it's been ten years.
