Disciples to the Forgotten

Yasaedra gave him a smile before turning around and facing Vanya, "Well my love..." she started to say before she was cut off with a passionate kiss.

Yasaedra broke the kiss, stepped back, gazing into her love's eyes as she removed her platinum earings with Eilistraee's symbol on them. She gave them to Vanya, "A little something to remember me..."

Vanya in turn removed her silver earings with Corallen Larethian's symbol and gave them to her. "And you me..."

They both put on each others earings, said their "I love you"s, and asked their deities to watch over each other.

Yasaedra turned back to Darkclaw, "I'm ready."

Darkclaw

Darkclaw cocked his head, watching the odd display of Herdling behavior. Of course, no two herdlings acted exactly alike. Such odd creatures they were. He shrugged, and stood up. He looked around a bit, and then nodded to himself.

Others would say they needed to go talk to someone about travel. Darkclaw just led the way. He'd talked to someone he knew about getting the spell needed ready. Well, he'd more announced it to a group of people. Now he would see who had responded, and at what price.

Tim

IC: The young spell caster stroke his chin as you stepped into the library "Ah there you two are. Traveling light I see. Now if memory serves me right you need passage to the city of brass... oh wait no thats not right." In turned to face the window and struck his bald head hard. "Union... the city of. Yes I've been there I used the stairs as I recall... Ah memories how I miss them all!"

"Now here is the deal, I will give you this favor and I may ask that you offer an equaly small one later. When I decide what it is... Perhaps turkey... no that won't do." He was lost in thought for a moment and then began to walk around aimlessly. He moved in a great circle about the library and stopped when he was infront of you.

"Feet? Oh right the transport to the city of brass... No... this seems familiar. Oh well let me cast the spell." He set about his magic and quickly created a gate to the city of union were one could see business was the same as usual for the locals.

"Right there you are..." He pointed to the gate then paused looked at one hand and then the other. Then pointing to the party said. "Well no your more over there... But union is there.." He looked over to the portal. "And there is where you wish to be."

She waited for the spellcaster to come forward.

She watched the seen unfold. This Tim did not inspire her confidence in his abilities. (rolled Knowledge Planes: 21)

Knowledge of Union

The city of union is a large metropolis, not the size of sigil or the city of brass but big in its own right still. It exists in its own pocket demention and is watched over by union sentinels and on occasion mercenaries. Its main asset is in an adjoined demention sits the infinite staircase which contains portals to all other dementions.

Yasaedra approached the portal, stopping just before entering it. She turned around and blew one last kiss to Vanya. Vanya ran up to her and gave her return kiss passionately in person.

Tim

IC: The tall troll were-man stepped into the gate and the portal closed behind him.

Tim began to walk aimlessly about again. He stopped he picked up a book and continued reading and walking about the room.

While still kissing, the gate suddenly closed. She whirled around, "Why did you close the gate? I'm still here, " her eyes flashing angrily. She had given Darkclaw her word that she would accompany and assist him, and now this 'one-to-many-Feebleminded' mage closed the gate before she could walk through!

DarkClaw

Darkclaw turned, and looked around. Where had the little herdling gone? Well, that was a bit odd. He scratched at his head. Well, herdlings were odd little creatures, no way to figure out exactly what they were up to.

He reached into his pack, and came up with the original letter, and looked again at where he was supposed to be meeting the odd herdling who wanted him. Then he looked up at the city again, and scanned it.

Well, it would have to be somewhere.

IC: Dark Claw: Dark Claw wonders about for a while before finding the correct location. At a back table was a female Ranger in a blue cloak.

IC: Tim: Tim continued his wondering for a bit stopping once more at Yasaedra. "Oh I thought I had heard company, now who are you." He stared at her face briefly. "Of coarse one of the two that owes me a favor. Well don't bore me with details of your trip. Right now I have very little to do, so can you travel to the north tower and find out where the former Librarian is, I wish to check out a book from her private collection. Here is a bookmark that should help you."

She strode over to Tim, making sure she still had his attention, "You closed the gate before I could walk through. Would you please reopen the gate to Union City, where you had opened it to for me and Darkclaw?"

Darkclaw

It took Darkclaw a while to find the place. Union was a City of Wonders, it's infinite stairway bringing forth creatures, artifacts, and strange extra dimensions from amyriad of planes and realms. There were herdlings of every size, shape, and type of tiny hat. It had taken quite a while to get used to the brazen displays of herdling behavior long enough to actually find the place.

Darkclaw looked at the ranger. Well, this all seemed pretty straightforward. Somewhat confusing, maybe, but pretty straight nevertheless. He sat down, and glanced around a bit. He settled himself into the chair, and turned his focus onto the blue-cloaked herdling.

"You wanted something?"

OOC: Simple soluions to problems.

IC: "But you promise to do this for me as soon as you can right? I really need that book but I can't leave me work here unfinished." He waited for anything he could take as a yes and then opened a second gate as soon as he could which was an hour or so later.

"And they said I was mad for memorizing the spell twice!"

"I'll talk to her after the mission is complete," she replied.

Yasaedra and Vanya went into a corner, out of Tim's sight and occupied their lips with each others for the duration of the wait. Once it was time, they said their goodbyes again, and she quickly stepped through.

After taking a few moments to take in the city around her, she began asking around for directions to the location of the meeting.

Agnimta

IC: DarkClaw: "Yes Darkclaw, I am glad you made it to the Island Veiw Inn." Agnimta is clearly dwarfed by Darkclaw in size, but is also dwarfed by most others standing well under five feet tall. She also looks and smells like a human. Under her blue cloak is an adamantine chain shirt and a pair of swords, she also wears well worn riding gloves.

"Three months ago my brother Regalid traveled into the plane of fire. The Gleaners commissioned him to find an item and he is long overdue. He missed my birthday something he has never done before. His mission must of been more then he could handle."

"I want to ensure he is alive and well. I need a competent companion like you by my side for this. I'll pay 10,000 in gems and an equal share of anything we find, except the item my brother was commissioned to find."

Thankfully, it didn't take her long to find a guide, though, with a city like this it didn't surprise her. About 10 minutes later she was at the Island Veiw Inn. She paid the goblin waif his fee. The little fellow was unusually bright for a goblin (and wasn't evil), then again, here he would have to be.

It didn't take her long to locate Darkclaw's large form. She approched the table he and the woman whom was presumably their employer. When she got there, she placed a hand on his shoulder to let him know she was there and sat down next to him.

She turned to the woman, noting the adamantine chain shirt, and extended her hand, "Greetings, I am Yasaedra Noquana, cleric of Eilistraee. Darkclaw invited me a long, however the mage who opened the gate seemed to have had a 'laps in concentration' and forgot to keep the gate open for me as well."

Agnimita

IC: "Really who was the mage?"

"Never mind the pay is a fair split of the treasure minus the shield my brother was sent to find and 10,000 in gems. All to find and bring my brother back here. Are you in?"

"What was your brother after and who sent him to get it?" she asked since she apparently missed that part."

Agnimita

IC: "He is a member of a guild called the Gleaners, they retrieve magic items for various clients. They sent him to fetch a shield called the FlameGuard it was crafted by a long dead mage who was obsessed with fire."

Agnimita

IC: "I believe we'll be taking the infinite stair case. So let me stop by the garners and pick up some gear and we'll be off. Do you wish to come with me or should we meet up later."

"We are in," she said.

"Yes, I will accompany you," she looked over at Darkclaw to see if he would be joining them. She believed he would, but it was polite to ask.

Agnimita

IC: Upon reaching the Garners guild hall she flashed some papers and stepped inside. Seeing the gaurds desire to stop her two fallowers she spoke up "They are with me."

She then moved threw the halls skill fully and with purpose stopping at a desk with a one eyed man behind it. "I would like to see the package I leave here." The one eyed man blinked or winked once, no one was quite sure, and set about a back room. Some time passed and he returned with a small bag. Agnimita opened it a thumbed around for a bit before pulling out a red ring, she then handed the bag back to the man.

"Fire protection will be very important where we are going." She sliped on the ring. "Do you two have sufficient protection."

While they walked, she admired the cleanliness of the massive city. Few cities she had been to where this clean.

While Agnimita waited for her package, Yasaedra perused the other items in the shop, reading their descriptions and noting a few that interested her.

"I do have some protection, yes," she replied, "You never did say where we are going."

Agnimita

IC: "I didn't?" I was clear that her urgent feelings were getting the better of her abilities to communicate. "The elemental plane of fire, some distance north of the city of brass to be precise."

"Well then it would be a good idea to get more protection."

She continued to peruse the items till she found what she was looking for, "I'll take that," she said to the owner, indicating to a circlet. It was crafted of ornate gold, with rubies in the shape of flame on the front, and was labeled 'Circlet of Greater Fire Resistance.'
