Disciples to the Forgotten

IC: (Seee DMG for normal price add 5% for being a helm and not a ring)

The merchant handed her the item and gladly accepted the gold and platinum.

We were then off to the infinite stair case, some miles away. "We are fortuned that I have taken this path before, otherwise we'd need a guide for the stairs."

She exchanged her gold and platinum, then placed the circlet on her head and followed Agnimita.

"Well what do you think," she thought to the Dark Maiden's Light, referring to how her new purchase looked on her. Her companion always did have good taste.

Dml

IC: "Looks fine to me, but technically speaking I don't have eyes. I've been debating on weather or not to mention this but Agnimita's mind is completely cloudy I can't read a thing except gibberish."

"Wouldn't surprise me if she has a ring of Mind Shield," she thought back. "After all, humans don't have the resistances to magic that drow have, so for one as wealthy as she, it would be a very reasonable investment. Thanks for the tip."

"And glad you like it."
She flashed her friend a mental grin. "Like not having eyes ever stopped you from seeing."

DML and Agnimita

IC: DML: "I like to think I see inner beauty."

IC: Agnimita: The slim figure opened a door and inside was seen many many flights of stairs. The room clearly seemed to have its own physics as the stairs bent back upon themselves in all directions. Set upon the stairs were numerous landings and door ways that appeared to go no where. It is clear this would be a poor place to become lost.

"Stay close." Agnimita begins walking down the stairs.

She blushed at that one, "Well I think your beautiful too, inside and out." She began affectionately caressing the moonstone on Maiden's Light's hilt.

The slim figure opened a door and inside was seen many many flights of stairs. The room clearly seemed to have its own physics as the stairs bent back upon themselves in all directions. Set upon the stairs were numerous landings and door ways that appeared to go no where. It is clear this would be a poor place to become lost.

Yasaedra nodded as kept about five feet behind Angimita.

Agnimita

IC: The group marched on for quite some time, turning several times, walking down and up stairs and for atleast a half mile on a flat landing. "Hopefully this part of the journey will be fast and simple, but we will need to set up for the night at this rate."

"Is that really wise?" she asked, "If someone rolls around in their sleep..."

'Like I do when I don't have a lovely warm body to curl up around' she thought to herself.

Agnimita

IC: "As long as you are not tired we will continue but if we must stop it is better done here then on the plane of fire. And we will pick a wide spot and we always have the option of pitons."

"Yeah, might be a good idea," she thought to herself.

"Good point. I can go farther, but you know the way better than I do, so its up to you."

Agnimita

IC: "Well next landing of sizable style we will stop."

...2 hours later...

"Hey this one looks good." The group stopped at a 5 by 15 landing with three sets of stairs: one spiral stair case going up, a curved set going down, and one stair case that revolved in a manner that resulted in one heading down but ending up one flight higher. The best part was the level had railings.

"Good, railing." Now at least she didn't have to worry about rolling off the edge while sleeping.

She set her Bag of Holding down and fished out her Magic Bedroll. She then laid it out and sat on it. She would have danced, but that was impractical here, so she assumed the lotus position, and began her prayers to her goddess.

Agnimita

IC: The young girl studied the drow for a bit and then spoke up. "To whom do you pray?"

She ignored Agnimita until she was finished with her prayers. It is rude to interrupt one's prayer's to one's deity. Once finished, she turned to Agnimita, "Eilistraee is my goddess, she is the beacon of light for my people, the one trying free us from Lolth's tyranny and bring us back to the surface to live in harmony with our kin."

Agnimita

IC: "Eilistraee, never had the pleasure of meeting her myself. Well a ranger has more to do with the natural flow of things then she does with gods, so I've become skeptical I supose. Still they do help people out and that is worth respect at all times."

She nodded, rangers were indeed more concerned about nature than the gods, not that they were necessarily irreligious. So she had encountered Eilistraee's faithful before, that was good. "Do you revere a specific deity?"

Agnimita

IC: "Not one in particular and never to the ones I don't know. I suppose thats a bit odd from your point of veiw. But I always have more important matters to be concerned with, like saving my brother."

She paused "How much rest do you need?"

She nodded, "Though you are by no means the first I have encountered with such beliefs, though I still find it difficult to understand how one with such beliefs can not feel lost... adrift without a god or goddess's reassurance."

"I only need four hours trance, then I will be ready. You I presume will require longer?" She knew full well that humans generally required twice that. "Aside from the risk of falling off, how dangerous are these stairs?"

Agnimita

IC: "I am avoiding the outright dangerous parts best I can, unless of coarse my brother comes looking for us." The beauty smiled in Ernest.

"Truth be told I am ready now, perhaps not mentally. I havn't slept in a long time."

She smiled back, "The two of you must be very close. It is good to have such close relations with your family." She was just as devoted to her family, and it was to her.

She placed a hand on the woman's shoulder, "A rested mind will do your brother much more good than a sleep deprived one. You should rest first. I will take first watch."

Agnimita

IC: "Don't worry about me, I've taken steps to ensure I don't have a tired mind. The sooner you trance, the sooner we can go."

"It might be your last chance to rest for a while. I doubt the Plane of Fire is very safe to rest on outside of the cities, and even those I hear are not that safe."

Agnimita

IC: "I agree we best avoid the cities, in them efreet are to common of a trouble and even their impressive powers are a minor peril. But enough of this going back and forth. I am not going to sleep and if you are not either then perhaps its time to move again if you are ready."

"Pardon me, did you here something just now?"

She was about to reply when Agnimata asked the last question. She paused and listened. It sounded like...wings...

Yasaedra lept lightly to her feet, drew her bow and knocked an arrow as she scanned for the source of the sound.

Agnimita

IC: Agnimita looked around equally puzzled, but that puzzle soon solved itself. On each stair case was what looked like a bloated ape with black wings and two sets of tusks on there lower jaws.

"Nalfeshnee, 3 of them. Be careful they out number us already and I am told they can also smite us or summon other demons."
