Does Anyone Care What Brits Think?

The only true allies America has or ever had were those who hang around as long as the checkbook is open.

That is an insult to all the US's allies who have fought and died alongside US forces from Korea, Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan.

With an attitude like yours, the US would have no allies.

The UK has paid a high cost for being a US ally and has been willing to support US actions. Even in my town our war memorial shows the names of those who have died in Iraq and Afghanistan fighting beside the US. We honour them - as we honour US troops who have died in the cause of freedom.

I may have been a bit testy with my comment. America has done far more good than harm to the world. And england has been probably our most loyal ally. There are I believe 197 countries in the world and the US gives money to all but about 12 of them. With the exception of a very small handful the rest are only in it for the money.
