Down Comforter and the Wet Spot

Hey there helpful How-To folks!

As embarassing as this is to adimt, I either squirted or peed during sex while laying on top of my synthetic down comforter. I think it is squirting stuff, because it was only faintly discolored on my white duvet cover. But I also unknowingly had a full bladder right after the incident (that's what happens with 3 hours of continuous foreplay!). It doesn't have a strong smell. And it soaked through the sheets, too.

So my questions are:

Is there damage to my comforter whether it's sqirting stuff or dilute urine?

Are there future hygeine concerns?

If it's urine will the smell increase over time?

The tag on the synthetic down comforter says it can be put through a washer and dryer. Has anyone done this- does this cause the stuffing to clump up?


Ugh. Never again. Lesson learned!

EZ answer: Machine washing and drying will take care of all the sanitation issues. Synthetic comforters especially do well with machine washing. It shouldn't bunch up the stuffing at all. Definitely wash and dry it separately from anything else so the it can get maximum fluffing in the dryer.

I doubt that if it was urine it would get stronger over time.

fyi, I machine wash my feather-filled comforter. I didn't know you could or should do it. But after a long convo with several local dry cleaners, they convinced me that dry cleaning doesn't actually do much for pillows and comfortors -- and that they actually wash and dry them, despite manufacturer's recommendations! I was shocked. But now I don't waste $12 per down pillow per year for dry cleaning!

Yeah. I was *real* dubious about washing and drying my super nice 95% down pillows. But several dry cleaners fessed up to me so I figgered what the hey. And I'll be damned but they were spot on.

They said just to make sure you dry the little darlings until they're bone dry. My two regular sized took more than an hour in an electric dryer. They were toasty-toasty when I took them out, but 5 minutes later I could feel just a little dampness, so they got another shot on full blast for 30 minutes and then I put them by a window getting full-on sun for the rest of the day just to make sure. Boy, nothing like like freshly cleaned pillows. Mmmmm.

When you do wash and dry the comforter, throw a clean tennis shoe in the dryer and sit on top and enjoy the thumping. This helps stop the filling from collecting down one end.

Washing:

I finally got the new G-Spot vibe to do it's thing, and I must say I was amazed by the sheets.....and quite embarassed.....I really was not expecting that. I hear of people want to squirt, I just didn't think I would be able to. Not that I need to ...I am just thrilled with any orgasm.

Back to washing: I just peeked at the sheets I put in the wash this morning, the 'stain' is gone.... And the spot was not 'clear' but didn't really smell like urine either. All the same, I washed in regular detergent and on cold ( saving money anywhere I can LOL) and it came right out.

I would go ahead and through the comfortor in the washer....and f you are really worried about it, take it to the laundermat where you can used a bigger washing maching to help make the chance of bunching less.

Yeah, it's considered the ultimate goal by some, reaching nirvana etc but what about those of us who would like to stop (at least some of the time) especially when your with a guy for the first time, i worry he might think i've peed the bed and have got some continence issues.

I USED to think there must be something wrong with me , since I could never do it.... and me being as sexual and horney as I am , just thought 1 +1 SHOULD =2............Now that is has happened ..............I have to admit, I don't like it. Ever since the 'full filling weekend' I am soaking wet all the time, when I get out of bed I have a tiny wet spot on the sheets, and I need to wear a panty liner during the day.... Just TOO wet for me now. Trying antihistimenes to get my moisture content under controll again. Did finally getting the G-spot oipen the flood gates? Yikes, I hope not, because I was happy cumming the way I was before.... no need for the showering stuff. yuck.

I squirt a about 80% of the time. We keep towels in the bedroom now!
So much easier for clean up.
