Dungeons and Dragons: The Time of Dragons (IC Thread)

Drec:

IC: "Well then, this has been an odd diversion. If we leave now can you catch up opon finishing your... um... meal?" Perhaps we should offer to carry the stolen mechandise to save time, then again that sounds like unneeded work.

( sorry for not posting in a while been kinda bussy)

Raven looked form the bag to the fanged woman and said quite simply " if we help you out whats in it for us?" Raven looked at Dre and said " the work wouldn't be all that hard for us to do but we aught to at least get something out of it ya know what i mean"

Sar gave a sigh, "What ever happened to chivalry?" she said ruefully. "Then again I guess catching me eating didn't exactly put me in the 'damsel in need of help with her luggage' category? Very well, Drec, Raven, if you two would kind enough to carry the sacks of stolen goods that the two humans had to the Stonekeep gates. I'll give you each a silver piece. It's about 2.5 miles from here. Easy money."

Drec:

IC: "I feel the reward would be greater with out puting a price so small as a silver on it. If you insist on paying give it to Raven. I feel not all rewards need be coins and jewels, but it often helps."

She quirked an eyebrow at him, "So small a price? Most toil through an entire day of hard work for a silver piece. I only ask that you carry a sack for a few miles so its contents can be returned to their rightful owner. If it was not a reward you wanted, then why imply that you did?" she asked, remembering his "then again that sounds like unneeded work" comment.

Drec

OOC: A guide to cats "His character says."
'Other character says"
Thoughts and actions.

Basicly you read his mind.

IC: "I am afriad Raven was the one who offered to carry the bags for a reward. You see I am of the mind set that a good deed has no set value, a good deed now with no reward could e returned many times over later."

(OCC: Didn't notice the quotation mark behind the question mark. Thought you had forgot to add it to the end.)

"Thank you Drec," she said with a smile, then turned her gaze to Raven waiting for his reply.

Raven looks at the bags then back to Drec and finaly at the woman and says " this isnt so much as a good deed i would say more fittingly an errand. " he bowed to the woman and said " my dear lady chivalry is a luxury few can a ford when one has seen the things i have seen, forgive me if i seem a little rude but we are in the middle of no where and you were feeding on a young woman. tell me exactly where chivalry would come into that picture"

Drec:

IC: "I would assume in your case chivilary entered when recagnised her as a lady, which you just did. For me chivilary seemed apropreiate on acount of three things, she is a she, she isn' trying to kill me, and she isn't Ezmi."

OOC: I miss ravenloft.

(OOC: She was feeding on the dead man, not the unconscious woman.)

To Raven she replied, "As I said, I guess catching me eating didn't exactly put me your damsel in need of help with her luggage category."

"After all this time, I still don't understand why people are so fixated on the drinking blood aspect of my nature. The man is dead, he has no need of his blood, if I don't drink it, animals, insects and plants will. The blood will be consumed anyway, I just happen to require it. How is killing him and drinking his corpse's blood worse than just killing him?" she asks wearily.

Ravens smile faded as he said " well miss in the breeding camp where i spent a good portion of my life we were forced to drink the blood of the ones who died so for me blood drinking brings back certain dark memories that i would like to forget i dont really have a problem with you drinking blood you see. so like i said forgive me if i sounded rude" he bowed to her then picked up one of the bags and started to walk twards stone gate

Her eyes softened at his explanation. "I see. I my knowledge of the drow is limited to what is common knowledge. I didn't realize it was so bad even for one with drow blood. If you'd rather not watch me feed, that's fine."

She returned to the dead human, giving them time to turn away, and resumed her feeding.

Raven Continued walking not wanting the woman to see the tears streaming down his face. he had had enough of bad memories for one day. " madam it makes no difference if your a Male Drow in a Matriachal society esspecialy if your a half breed male like myself" was all he said as he walked on down the path carrying one of the sacks on his shoulder

She quickly finished draining the corpse, and wiped her mouth clean. She then went over to the still unconscious woman, pulled a silk rope out of her bag, and tied her up. Then she gathered the items that the group had that she felt she could use or sell.

Picking up the bound woman and one of the sacks, she looked at Raven, who was walking away, then to Drec.

"Well I'm ready to leave now." she said smiling at him.

She headed off after Raven with Drec. As they passed the other man, she gave him a glance. She didn't like him, not only for what he had implied that she was, but also his timidness. She hated it when people like him regarded her as an object of terror when she made no threating action. Her expression, while showing no hostility, clearly showed her dislike.

She turned her attention back to where she was going, and moved to catch up with Raven. While he seemed sincere, she wasn't going to take chances with letting the goods out of sight till they were turned over to the guards.

As the others started off at a brisk jog down the beaten path, Pavel saw the new arrival scowl at min as she passed. He immidiatly made up his mind to keep a very close eye on her and her activities. He never had trusted blood-drikers..

He followed after the group, trying to keep his distancce from the womn, yet always keeping her in plain enough sight, and close enogh to overhear anything she might say

IC: "I don't think it will take more then 30 minutes to reach town."

"Closer to 40 actually," she replied. She knew this area well, she did patrol it after all.

Drec:

IC: "I trust you would know beter. I am going off of a map rather then experince."
