OOC: Detective Dirk Parker 32 6’2 190# Wavy black hair and deep blue eyes
Not overly athletic but with a well defined body.
IC Dirk was to be on a team of three from the precinct to interview for a new civilian liaison officer. This was an assignment that he was not too thrilled with. It took him away from his detective duties. However, the squad Captain had given him the assignment and it wouldn’t look good if he shirked his responsibilities. The team was made up of a female patrol officer, the desk sergeant and Dirk from the detective squad.
They had interviewed several candidates and the last one for the day was due any minute. Her resume gave her name as Sara. Each member of the interviewing team had a copy of her resume. Dirk frowned when he read the name. Some time ago he had arrested a woman by the same name on a shop lifting charge. The case had eventually been thrown out for some ridiculous technicality. What were the odds that this was the same woman.
At the appropriate time a woman entered the precinct and asked where her interview was to take place. She was shown into the room where the three were waiting. Introductions were made all around and Dirk held out his hand recognizing the woman as the same one he had arrested over a year ago. “Pleased to meet you Sara, won’t you sit down.” Their eyes met as she shook his hand. Would she remember that he was her arresting officer?
Dirk remained silent of her past because since she was never convicted there was nothing on her record. The interview went well for the most part. At the conclusion after she had left it became apparent that the patrol officer and desk sergeant thought she was perfect for the job. How was Dirk going to tell them that she wasn’t. It would be unfair for him to reveal the fact that she had been arrested for shoplifting. Had she been convicted then it would be a different matter. Regardless of his feelings the other two decided that she was the best candidate for the job and it was settled. She would be contacted the next day and informed that she got the job.
