Elven Fantasy Pt. Two.

Rose:

Rose paced her hut for a while but couldn't sleep. She truely tried but she could not even get to sleep. After sometime she decided maybe a walk across the village. Maybe someone would be around to talk to her. Maybe her father...or maybe...

She couldn't get it out of her mind that the drow looked familiar. Rose sighed and exited the hut to pace outside in the fresh air.

Gnaryn enters Aria's hut, his green eyes taking in its interior. His hair flows gently in the breeze he creates by walking into Aria's bedroom.

The redhead smiles at her, coming to stand over her bed. "Evening, lady. I hear you have a broken hip that needs mending?" He kneels at her bedside, setting his satchel down and opening it. Inside is a small cloth bag of crushed herbs and another containing jerked meat. "Thil," Gnayryn murmers, turning to his pupil to hand him the bag with the herbs, "please go make some tea out of this." That taken care of, he turns back to Aria. "The tea is a tranquilizer," he explains, untying the laces on his tunic cuffs and rolling the sleeves up. "It is easier to work when the patient is asleep, as that is when natural healing occurs anyway. Now, then, which hip is it that is the trouble, hmm?"

Thildimar:

Coming forward as Gnayryn called him, Thil took the herbs and set them to boil over Aria's hearth, then returned to Gnayryn's side silently offering himself to help attend to things.

Rose:

When she exited her hut she saw her father and the man she had seen with Aria before talking then her father walked off. She approached the elf and nodded, "Hello, elf. I am afraid I do not know your name."

Rothalis:

"Oh, hello young miss. You may call me Rothalis, thats my name. And you are Rose, are you not? Lady Ariadne said I aught to see you to bed." Rothalis said, with a smile. Rothalis caught himself, realizing what he had just said. "I mean, she thought you must be awfully tired and that you aught to get your rest, not that I..." He turned quite red before Rose's eyes.

Rose's eyes narrowed, "I don't need anyone to show me to bed. I am having trouble sleeping but I think I will go back to my hut. Goodnight."

She turned on her heel and left but never went back to her hut that night. In the morning, she would finally get answers from the drow.

OOC: Im gonna jump us to the next morning here, just to keep things moving folks.

IC:

Giamond, Rothalis and Gnayryn all attended to Ariadne's leg during the night, Rothalis found his way back to his own hut and after preparing as his mentor told him to do, he slept the rest of the night. The morning dawned and the elves stirred with the first mornings light that broke through the forests canopy.

Gnayryn removes his hands from where they had been hovering over Aria's hip and blinks sleepy, red-rimmed eyes. "There, all done," he says with a tired smile. The elf had since woken up from the tranquilizing tea, but its effcts had lasted long enough for Gnayryn to get most of the bone knitted.

He stands up and cracks his neck and back, stretching to ease kinks in muscles left in the same positon for too long. That done, Gnayryn takes the jerked meat out of his satchel and wolfs them down. The redhead sits on the floor in a comfortable position, seemingly waiting for whatever is going to happen next.

Rose:

She watched the drow sleep in his bed. She was in a corner of the room with her shadows close about her. She just waited for him to wake and then she would get her answers. She sighed then moved over to a chair and silently sat down. When would he wake?

Thay:

::The morning light drew into the hut through a window on the far side, and slowly as the sun grew in the sky, the light went from shining on the floor to shining on the bed, then finally shining in Thay's face. The light in his eyes caused him to stir and awake, and he sat up pushing himself so that his back rested against the back of his bed.

After wiping his eyes clear of sleep, he grabbed his dagger from beneath his pillow and tucked it back into his belt. That is when he caught the feeling and the sent somone else was in his hut with him.::

You can come out of the shadows, I sense you are here...

::shifts his body so that his feet are now on the floor and fetches his boots, sliding one on and binding them with its straps, then does the same with the other::

Rose steps forward and nods, "I remember you. I couldn't place it at first but now I remember. I may have been under the spider queen's spell before and wrapped in her web and in pain but I remember you. You were one of the men...who rapped me aren't you?"

She looked from the floor into his eyes tears sliding slowly down her cheeks.

Thay:

::Quickly gets to his feet seeing Rose start to cry, unsure what to do next he keeps his distance::

Rose, I was nae in control of myself at the time. The Spider-Queen...

::Sighs knowing he had to do this for her::

The Queen took control of my body and made me do what I did against my will. I didnae know what I had done 'til after my mind became my own...

::steps to her and takes her by the shoulders softly, his eyes searching her tearfilled ones for some type of acceptance of his recount of what truly had happened. He then Whispered softly::

You must believe me Rose, I didnae rape you of my own free will...

Rose nodded, "I know it wasn't your fault but I hate the situation all the same. That is why I want to go. I want to see the spider queen die. And now I am pregnant and I have no clue who the father is and I am hoping more and more that this will just all go away."

Rose cries harder and leans against Thay unknowningly and cries into his shoulder.

Thildimar/Giamond/Rothalis:

Thildimar and Giamond left Ariadne and Gnayryn to prepare themselves for the day's travel, just as they did. Rothalis was already out of his hut and making his way toward the Drows hut to present himself for the quest at hand. He was joined by Giamond, then Thildimar, and eventually four others from the village, all of them ready for the long journey ahead of them.

Gnayryn leaves Ariadne's hut shortly after the others, informing her that she will be able to get up and walk around, but to not put too much stress on her newly-mended hip.

He returns to his own dwelling, not surprised to find the fire totally burned out and the candles and lamps around his hut also extinguished.

The elf crosses to the chest near the kitchen doorway and replentishes the contents of his satchel, also taking out a leather pack. Next, he passes through the doorway to the kitchen and puts dried meat and fruit into his pack, along with some oatmeal and some mixed grains. He ties a small culdron to the outside of his pack, then walks into his sleeping quarters and does up his bedroll. This he also attatches to his pack, tying it at the base with the leather thongs sewn into the seams. A couple sets of clothing--all black--are the next items he shoves into his pack, along with a firestarting kit, before tying it shut. Lastly, Gnayryn picks up a slightly curved object from where it rested on the floor. The sheath is plain black leather, the hilt plain steel wrapped in more black leather, and the pommel nut is inscribed with a vine and acorn pattern. He lashes the sword to his belt and takes his pack out into the common room to wait for the rest of his fellow travellers to come and fetch him.

Thay:

::To say Thay was shocked at Rose bruying her head into his shoulder, his arms first stretching out at his sides then realizing she needed to feel held, he wrapped his arms around her and sinply held her while she wept::

-(s)oftly- Shhhh... we will kill her Rose, I give you my word that she will die. If not by my own blade then by one of the other warriors that will be joining us.

"But I must go! Please you do not understand. I will not just stand aside and wait for you all to come back. For all I know, YOU could be my baby's father!"

Rose backed away from Thay with anger in her eyes waiting for an answer for if she was going or not from Thay.

Thay:

::A look of slow acknowledgement crosses Thay's face at her claim. Maybe he was her baby's father? No wait out of seven drow the odds were too great to assume that the baby would be his. He thought a moment longer then cleared his mind and looked at Rose. That's when he got an idea::

Rose, I can tell that this is an argument that I willnae win, but I wish for us to go and ask the elders. They can deside whether you can go or not. They are overseeing this whole opperation and all going to Underdark listen to them...

Rose sighed then nodded her head, "We should consult them then." She quickly moved away from Thay and exited his hut.

Thildimar/Giamond/Rothalis:

Just as Rose left Thalious's hut, there they all stood, the ten warriors, ready for the coming days quest. Giamond was the first to see Rose, and his eyes went wide. He made to go to her, but Ariadne held tight to him, partially for support, and partially to keep him in check.

It was Thildimar that came forward and reached out to take rose by the shoulders. "Rose, what are you doing here? Are you okay?" He asked, showing a great concern for her.

Rothalis stood on the other side of Ariadne, and remained silent.

Rose almost seemed to look through Thildimar, "He could be the father. I will see the spider-queen pay. I am going to the elders to seek their approval for me to join you on this quest for revenge. No one can stop me now please get out of my way," a tear rolled down her cheek then she moved passed him towards the elders hut.

Thildimar/Giamond/Rothalis:

Thildimar stood where Rose left him for a moment as she walked away, looking through the open door of the hut before him. "The father..." He repeated, to himself, a horrible sinking feeling in the pit of his stomach.

Giamond let Rose pass, but followed after her, leaving Ariadne in Rothalis's hands for the moment.

Thildimar followed behind Giamond and Rose as they made thier silent walk to the Elder's hut.

Rose waited outside the elders hut for permission to enter when Giamond and Thildimar made it to the elders hut. From inside they heard the command, "Come in please." Rose entered to find the elders waiting for her.

Elders:

"What may we do for you Rose, Daughter of Giamond, Child of Southwood?" Asked the first female elder, rising to her feet, clad from head to toe in a shimmering gossamer gown. No other elder moved, no other elder seemed to even breath. The silence was peaceful.

Rose bowed to them in respect then said, "I wish to request to go on this journey. The drow that came here to help is one of the seven who raped me, not willingly but at the whim of the spider-queen. For my sake, for his, and for the child that grows in me that he might be the father of, I wish to see justice done by going with them. I came to you for permission at the word of the drow. Please, let me go."
