Endless Curiosity II

I think about 90% of the time I couldn't tell you if I was flirting or not. I'm just me. If I'm posting with half of a known couple, though, I am conscious of being respectful of that relationship. I may be a teeeensy bit sensitive about it - in the past I had a "friend" who, as soon as she thought I had an interest in someone, would bombard them with flirty posts and PM's, steamrolling me out of the conversation. I'm not one to get into a competition like that, so I usually just let it go, figuring if the guy was truly interested he wouldn't let that stop him. After about the third or fourth time though, when it became clear what she was doing, I wrote her off as a friend.

I had something like that happen to me in r/l. Twice a friend of mine told me that she wanted to fix me up with guys who she said were perfect for me. She ended up hooking up with both of them. :roll eyes:

I'm chiming in...unusual for lurker me on these threads...

I think one problem with Litationships and flirting on the boards is that you never know what's going on behind the scenes. So those of us who have been screwed (and not in the good way) have a hard time with that kind of trust. Seeing the person you are having a thing with flirting openly makes all kinds of things happen in the space you call your head about what is happening not on the boards. And especially when it's someone that you k ow they've had a thing with before.

My problem is that I am on overthinker and very creative storyteller to boot so what happens in my head is always way detailed and explicit...I may not be cut out for Litationships - but I'm no quitter so I keep subjecting the men of Lit to my crazy!

Trust can be difficult around here, especially when one has had a negative experience and a vivid imagination. In r/l (for lack of a better term) we aren't subject to watching our special someone interact with someone they have a past with, or have had a flirtation with, and then they both disappear, to who knows where? At the end of the day all I can do is choose to trust them completely, or not stay in the relationship because it is too difficult. And ask myself if I'm that suspicious of them, why am I with them?

While it is nice to have a special someone on Lit, I'm liking this 'free agent' thing more and more. ;)

Thank you my dear friend.

DS and I have a unique relationship. He knows I am married, has met my husband and family, and we do have plans for a future. We met here, have now met twice for a week at a time, here at my house, and are planning for our next few get togethers. I love him dearly and am in love with him. It is a rare day when we don't talk on the phone, text or have some sort of communication. I look forward to each moment I get to spend with him.

None of this would be possible without the support of my husband, mrppv. He accepts me for the less than normal wife that I am. Our open communication about everything, no matter how small, makes this kind of relationship possible. I love and have been in love with him for over 24 years. I can't see my life without him in it.

I love both of these men with all my heart. I am the luckiest woman to have found two men who love and accept me for who I am.

This is a truly lovely and unique story. I'm glad that it is working out for all parties involved.

I'm not a Lit wife. I'm not a Lit mistress. I'm not even a Lit booty call. Kinda sad when ya think about it. :(

*Considers proposing to EN so I can be part of a Lit couple.*

*Realizes I could never afford her shoe habit. Resigns self to a Lit life alone.*

Abandoned because of my lovely taste in shoes? No! It can't be true.

*sobs in corner*

*Raises hand*
I'd be proud to have my boots under your bed, or lab coat stained with your lipstick ;)

Boots and a lab coat? You have my attention, Sir. ;)

*ears perk*

Lab coat? Imma gonna need more detail.

What kind of lab work (and I do mean precisely) is this soon-to-be-lipstick-stained lab coat involved in?

Pure noisiness on my part. :p

I loved your entire post, but this line make me laugh. I can so, so, so relate! :p

Think that might be the truest statement I've read about lit.
I've been friends with loads of people over the years, been intimate with a few : intellectually, digitally and physically. I'll still flirt, or tease but I know who I'm going home with. Those that don't draw that invisible line are the ones who play games with others basking in there own self embued impunity.

Just my two c

True. And knowing when and where to draw that invisible line can be its own kind of tricky business.

Wouldn't it be a coincidence if you tossing that hair lead to it being wrapped around my hand? 🔥

Oh, I appreciate them. Maybe I'm looking at this the wrong way. Wanna be my sugar mama?

LOLOLOLOLOLOL!

I am afraid I don't have too much (make that any) experience on the distributing end of that dynamic. :p

But, for you....

Maybe we could find a third to fill the 'sugar' position. Then you could benefit from my shoe expertise.

You're both sweet enough to make any man(or woman) diabetic. I'll be the brave soul to sacrifice for the greater good.

If you ever visit DS in his *ahem* beautiful part of the country, I still expect the two of you to meet me halfway for lunch or something! :rose:

No experience distributing? Wait, are you saying you have a sugar mama??

It's Collar, isn't it?! Collars, cuffs, and strappy pumps. It all makes sense now.

*flops on the couch in defeat*

Uh-oh. It looks like our newest happy little couple is already having trouble in paradise. *hugs VT* There, there princess. She would've driven you to the poorhouse anyway.

But the shoes she accumulated in the process would have made her rich once again...

Enny's the shoe hoarder. VT would be wearing her boots!

Yep, these boots were made for walking ... down a lonely road ... On a boulevard of broken dreams. :(

(Sorry, I've been reading the What If thread. Sooo many lyrics!)
