This is a good one, so I'll play, it's really unrevealing after all. ;)

First time on a date, well that’s a bit below the age or talking about those experiences here on lit. But suffice to say a school dance where fun was had and leave it at that.

Worst date? She reached across the table and was eating the food off of my plate after destroying her own. It went downhill from there. Appearances can be so deceptive.

Best date? We went to a park music concert and followed it up with dinner and drinks. I must have done something right because someone other people called an ice queen invited me in to stay the night. Good times, hated that she moved away.

I was 14. He was a boy from church. My parents liked his family. He took me to see a singing group at another church, and then to Bob's Big Boy. He was nice, but I wasn't really interested.

First dates, first dates... I didn't date a lot!

The very first date I went on was to see 3 men and a baby. I was about 13.
She was called Sylvana, same age. We watched the film, went to McDonald's after and made out on the bus home.

Worst first date was with a girl called Zoe. We went to a night club, an hour into the night she bumped into an ex. I later found her wanking him off in a corner. I went home alone that night.

I'll tell you when I have one

First date ever - I can't even remember; it was probably to some church function. Neither one of us could drive yet, so I doubt there was a whole lot of privacy. I feel certain we probably found an opportunity to make out, though. :D

Worst date - It's a tossup. One was a blind date set up because I had "so much in common" with a coworker's friend. He had a unibrow, an overbite, was an ubergeek, and used a coupon for dinner at a mid-price chain restaurant. The other was to a concert at an outdoor amphitheater in Houston in the summer. The guy was really tall and beefy and sweated profusely from the minute we got there, managing to drip on me in the process.

Most successful first date - Meeting my last long-term bf at a coffee shop where we talked at least a couple of hours. We instantly fell into an easy, comfortable relationship that lasted long after I moved away, and made us both very happy.

FIRST TIME EVER
The first thing that could be considered a date happened in 8th grade. For several years, our football team played a 9th grade team from Atlanta. Since that was 135 miles away, that meant a road trip and charted buses. Joan approached me and asked me to “go” with her and this would be our first “official” date…along with the forty or so other classmates on the bus plus the two nuns for chaperones.

It was all loud laughter and fun on the way down with little real one-on-one interaction time. One of the highlights was stopping for food before making the trip home at the Varsity Drive in. If you know anything about Atlanta, you know the Varsity. So, being the southern gentleman I was, I bought us dinner which consisted of two hot dogs, fries and a coke. Such a big spender! But my dad had offered the money to make sure I took good care of my date! My parents thought it was cute and adorable…and you just hate when your parents think you do anything cute...much less adorable!

The bus ride home was a little more subdued on the surface, but I imagine Joan and I were not the only ones using the darkness to steal kisses, hold hands and find out the initial rules and regulations of the female bases. I might have touched a boob that night…or was it an elbow? I found I enjoyed kissing quite a bit and 8th grade girls knew of magical things to do with their tongues. My first date turned into a life-long friend that I am still in contact with presently.

WORST DATE EVER
Once upon a time during the spring of my senior year in high school, I was in a band. There were ten of us from four different schools. This meant during practice sessions we all invited different people we knew to listen to us practice and give us feedback….bonus if they were female and super bonus if they danced while we played. Soooo, there on a beautiful Saturday, I met Debbie who came to practice with one of my band mates. It seems she had just gone through a break up with a boyfriend that was off somewhere in college. We engaged in conversation and had a few laughs and I finally asked her out on a date for the next Saturday.

Several of us went to a teen club to listen to another band. All was going well. We danced and laughed and eventually needed refreshments. So, I went up to get the drinks and when I came back, she was nowhere to be found. After I had splurged for the large soft drink too! Lol It seems her ex-boyfriend had made a surprise trip home. The real surprise was on me as they left out the back door without a word letting me know. Not the best confidence booster for a shy high school boy!

That night still sucks!

SUCCSESS!
One of the most successful dates happened to be a blind date. Ann was visiting the southland from New Jersey. She was staying with a girl she was friends with before her family moved away. Another friend was dating this girl so when Ann came to visit all summer, my friend needed a fourth quick.

First dates can be awkward and blind dates can be off the chart awkward. But this girl lit up the room and conversations just fell right into place. The very fist night, our plan was to sign up at a new steak house that was opening soon to do some taste testing before they opened for business. Sweet! Free food!! Or so we thought! We were all excited! I mean it’s a steak restaurant! How bad could that be?

Turns out our big taste testing adventure was nothing more than sampling coleslaw and orange juice on the night we signed up for! WTF! It would have been disastrous if we all hadn’t found it to be so hilarious. The event totally broke the ice and the four of us dated through the summer. When things got to the more amorous stage “taste test” took on a new meaning for the four of us and the hidden sexual meaning was added to our code book. Like let’s go up to the lake tonight for a little taste testing.

That one date turned into a summer full of fun boating, camping, cruising and blankets under the stars. I still break into a big smile every time I hear similar phrasings of taste test.

So I've said that i haven't done a lot of dating... I've done meet-n-greets that I guess were dates, technically, but I didn't consider them as such. I've done official dates after I've already gotten involved with someone. But in the beginning, when we're just getting to know each other, we're more likely to spend time together spontaneously, not necessarily doing anything date-ish. *shrug*

First Date: I wasn't allowed to date until I was in 10th grade. So the first weekend of 10th grade I went out on a date with a boy named Danny. He was in 11th grade, he drove a jeep and was a drummer in a band. We played miniature golf, drove go-carts and went out for root beer floats. He kissed me good night and I thought I was going to marry him.

Worst Date: My blind date (the brother of my hair stylist) showed up at my front door with fresh abrasions. He'd spent the afternoon getting super drunk and car surfing with some of his buddies. I gave him some Neosporin and some band-aids before we went to dinner. He kept nodding off during the meal, so I called his sister to come get him and take him to the ER. He had a concussion.

Most Successful: My first date with my husband. I met him at a party and went out on an official date with him shortly thereafter - it was the best date of my whole life.

My very first date was actually as a sophomore in High School.
I took a girl I had kind of started something with to homecoming (we had made out at a dance a month earlier and were "kind of" dating). My dad drove us. We met two other couples (mostly mutual friends of both of us) for dinner and then all went to the dance together. I remember making out on the dance floor a lot.
I didn't get a kiss goodnight, but that was ok...I had definitely gotten it on the dance floor.

Worst first date: it wasn't supposed to be a date. I was in college, we were friends, but I knew she sorta had a crush on me. I thought a bunch of us were going. Only she shows up (we went to a movie). We went to a movie. It was a long movie....it's no fun being on a date you didn't want to be on.

Most successful first date: well, I guess that would depend on your definition of success. I have never "gotten past first base" on a first date. So, I guess my most successful was my first date with my wife. We went to a movie. We made out a little in the movie. Then went back to my dorm room and made out a little there. Nothing more than kissing, a lot, but I guess I consider it pretty successful.

I was in preschool. :D On the playground he invited me on a date to run through the sprinklers at his house on Saturday. His mom made us PB&J's and gave us potato chips, Kool-Aid and cupcakes. He must have watched a lot of movies because he kissed me and told me I was beautiful and he wanted to marry me.

Bonus: His name was Carl. He was the older brother of a friend and I'd had a crush on him for years. He was too old for me, I was still in high school. My parents would never have let me go, they were pretty strict. I lied and said I was sleeping at a friends that night when he (FINALLY) asked me out. We went for burgers, it all seemed ok but he was giving out mixed signals. He asked if I wanted to go for a drive, I said sure because I was convinced I liked him, he drove me to the middle of nowhere, played the "put out or get out" card and it was pre-cell phones. So I got out and walked back to the nearest populated area in my not so sensible cute date shoes (almost 4 miles I found out later)and found a pay phone and called my best friend. She couldn't drive yet. We didn't want my parents finding out and I somehow figured this was all my fault, so I didn't want to call his sister who could have come to get me. So my best friend went and asked her neighbor to bring her to get me. He was a nice guy a few years older than us that I'd never noticed before and didn't even hesitate. He also threatened to break Carl's arm.

Bonus 2: After the above story, the neighbor, asked me out 2 weeks later. He liked that I hadn't put up with the bullshit, that I'd been willing to walk home if necessary and I liked that he was a decent guy. He took me for a super fancy dinner and to a movie after insisting on picking me up AT HOME and meeting my parents. He promised to have me home at a reasonable hour and did so. He kissed me twice that night. Once in a way that made my stomach do flips and then again very sweetly at my front door. We dated for over a year after that and we're still friends.

I've been the guy who got called to go and pick up the girl who didn't put out and was walking home before. So yeah, Carl was an asshole.

So...so sweet and wonderful.

 Awww thanks.
Carl was a douche and I had pretty questionable taste in boys and made dumb decisions a lot back then
It worked out ok thankfully. :)

OK...so...where's your answer lady? Question appears to be posted.

OH...do I want to read EN's answer here!!!!

Smart ass.

My answer is epic. EPIC. It was in cabin on a lake. Winter was setting in and the moon stood enormous on the water. I was along. Just me, my silk pajamas, and a big, wide bed all to my self. The sheets were worn soft, stroking my entangled legs and giving rise to...ideas.

Then…I saw just what I needed.

Yeah. I got nothing.

Wait. Does a vibe count as strange? :p

(No one seriously me to have an answer to this, did they?)
