Endless Curiosity

How would you know, unless you are actually reading other people's posts? :p

Yes, I will admit I don't like it when I say something and it gets ignored, then somebody else says it and it garners a bunch of comments  but I would never let it stop me from posting :D

I post more than I lurk with a few exceptions. There is one thread in particular (more specifically, there are a few regulars in that thread) where a single post from me seems to bring the ongoing conversation to a complete halt. I'm talking "crickets chirping" quiet. When the VT haters are deep in convo, I lurk or walk away. When they are off hating me elsewhere, I post. I figure even the crazies (and you have to be batshit crazy to hate me) should be allowed to chat and flirt. I give them the space to do that.

As for being ignored ... well, I'm a somewhat chunky brunette with a "cute" face. The ordinary, girl next door type. Ignored is where I live, it's my comfort zone.

Why not? I doubt she'd mind. :)

I agree. Why not start our on discussion while we wait. VT may appreciate the holiday herself.

Anyone have a question to pose?

I see you guys started without me. That's kind of hot. ;)

Bonus question: What about those times when you drop a little nugget of wisdom or humor and it appears to go completely ignored? Do you let that bother you? Does it leave you hesitant to post more?
*stamps feet and throws my stuffie*

Oh COURSE I get cranky when people don't listen to my advice..
It is *my* advice, yanno, so what's there to ignore???*pout*:p

Actually, not really. I'm to a point where I might *sometimes* give two shits about what others think? Maybe?

My opinion is mine and mine alone. My commentary is, well, mine and mine alone.

About the lurking... I lurk way more often now than I used to. And I stay invisible.

That way you can't see me coming when I pounce from out of nowhere on you.

Lit can be so cruel. For me Lit is very addicting. More than once I have tried to walk away. But I have always come back. I have closed pic threads after having posts ignored. It is painful. It hurts. I have given up having my own pic thread. My activities are limited to posting on other threads. Still, I have posts ignored. Just the other night I attempted to join in a group conversation, and twice was ignored. It stings. I gave up.

But I keep coming back.

Learn to work the cute! Everyone expects a sultry-looking woman to be sexy, but they don't see it coming from a bouncy girl. Use the element of surprise to knock them off their feet and into bed. ;) Rawr, baby!

Well, now that you're here, flash a little something so we can, um, finish.

And yeah, it can be a letdown when a zinger goes splat. But i just pick myself up and throw more shit at the wall

*crickets

See, an example!

Wisdom, like humor is relative.
My wisdom is the wisdom of the fool and my humor is intended to make myself laugh.
If others join in, so much the better.
If they don't, that's on them.

You are one of the people whose name at the end of a thread will make me open it to see what you said, actually. It might be in a thread where I'm more likely to lurk than post, though.

Slightly worried that makes me sound a bit stalkery...

Stalk me anytime. Makes me feel wanted to be stalked by someone like you. :)

Inspi said it best; I lurk more than I post, mainly because of the slights (or perceived slights) I have received. I have abandoned threads, and tried to walk away more times than I can count. But there is always one or two people that show concern when I am absent, when I go silent, when I am off my game. And so I keep coming back, even though I know I will get hurt again. Masochism, thy name is DS....

This is me too.

I have wicked sexy fantasies about you girl-next-door types. They're based on some real experiences too

I don't worry about thread-killing comments. It happens to me all the time. After 30,000+, mostly inane, posts, you can't expect to strike a nerve with everything you say. After all, I'm not the world's most interesting man. Don't even drink Dos Equis.

This is what turns me into a lurker more than anything. If I'm not feeling 'it', or can't be positive, then I go into lurk mode. After all, I am still curious what's happening

I hate to think how much you lurk if you do that more than post. :D
