Endless Curiosity

I have a huge personal space bubble...

I get anxious if people stand too close to me in lines

Oh my god, me too! I was in lab where we could ask questions, but the room was super silent. The professor, who was a very attractive woman, would stand at my face and talk. I tell this story a lot because it really shocked me that she didn't understand how uncomfortable I felt. I kept backing up. She would move forward. Then I'd back up again.

I was like, "GET OUT MY FACE! DAMN!"

I should have quit right there. Not because of her, but because I would end up regretting the price tag of school. :D

My AV varies, though often it's shoes. I am partial to high heels. :cattail:

You know what? I am, too. I will admit that I feel sorry for women having to wear high heels because it just looks intolerable. However, high heels can amp up the erection meter. lol

I grew up in a non-expressive family. My husband is a hugger. The first holiday at my Grandmother's house, he hugged everyone he was introduced to. It was quite entertaining for me, the look of shock and horror on their faces. Over the years, he wore them all down and now hugging is the norm.

Personally, I love hugs. I hug anyone and everyone. However, I'm not a fan of the casual/social kiss thing. I don't kiss friends, or my mom ... not even grandma. That's just too weird for me.

Well, unless I have a few drinks. Then I kiss everyone.

A few interesting questions from a fellow Litster ...

Do you ever wear jeans without underwear?

Are there particular items of clothing with which you don't wear underwear?

Inquiring minds want to know. :D

I do not wear jeans without underwear, but I rarely wear jeans period.

I wear skirts, which can easily and comfortably be worn sans undergarments. :D

No, jeans are too rough on my nether regions.

Yes. When wearing dresses I often go without panties. Errr, panty lines and all.... :p

< Well, unless I have a few drinks. Then I kiss everyone. >

Oh, man. Me too.

Not me. I just lick their earlobes and whisper 'There's a lot of people on the beach' in German.

You should see them go wild when I get to the bit about the children finding seashells. :catroar:

This made me giggle! I only know a few phrases in other languages, all rather useless (I can say "your sister is a whore" in 3 languages, for example). However, when said just right and to someone that doesn't speak the language, it is always quite effective. :D

I sometimes free-ball it in jeans, though generally only when I am at home.

No particular type of clothing though, I usually just wear underwear. (I'm totally addicted to the Ex-Officio line of boxers - incredibly comfortable, if pricey.)

I am a social kisser as well, though that depends on reading the social cues. There actually is a protocol as to who and when you kiss (I learned it through work) that is culturally dependent. The rule to remember is that, unless you are close friends and already have the kissing relationship, the person who is being introduced should initiate it by leaning in slightly and turning their cheek. If they don't they should extend their hand for a handshake. (Think of it as the person "entering" the social circle).

Then, there are Russians. I worked closely with Russians, for whom drinking was a major social/business event, and Russian men, as you form a friendship will both hold your hand casually and kiss you on the mouth in greeting and departing. LOL - as an American that took a while to get used to.

Hahahahahahaha! I aspire to be that sexy when I drink. :cattail:

'I'd like a piece of pie with whipped cream' works, too. It's all in the intonation and the eyebrow wiggle. ;)

Sober, I'm quite shy in large groups of people. But after a couple of Greyhounds, I seem to think I can have anyone who catches my fancy. My friends think it's hilarious.:eek:

I find this is the norm. Once non-huggers have gotten past the awkward stage most tend to enjoy and.. embrace :D it.
Sorry..

I have always noticed this when watching the Olympics. It feels awkward to watch for me, let alone participate. As a man..

I went years with no undies. Jeans, dresses, whatever. I would wear them to church if I had to go, though. That was my hard limit :D Now I wear them or don't, I'm comfortable either way, with no real conscious way to decide how I will dress that day.

I only had one "incident", in which I was in a business meeting wearing pants that buttoned (no zip fly) and it was a prolonged affair. In settling in and getting comfy during the ordeal I sat in a rather unladylike manner that gave my boss an eye full. She just.. AHEM AHEM'd until she got my attention. That could have been worse, with about half a dozen men in the room. Or better, however you want to view that ;)

< I only had one "incident" >

I wish I could say the same.

When running errands or loafing about about I often wear long skirts out of thin material, particularly when it's warm. They frequently sport slits on one side. Usually not an issue, until the windy season (hurricane season) rolls around.

No underwear then equals nothing but awkward.

You would think I'd learn, but no. I prefer to die of embarrassment in parking lots.

. . . . .
This matches my experience. I think that huggers are more sensitive to the likes/dislikes and needs of others.

So let's convert everyone to huggers!!! :D

Jeans without underwear only when doing photos to post on Lit. I recently posted such a photo.

The only other items I wear san-underwear are sweat pants and gym shorts. I like the feel of freedom. :)
All other pants are too constrained and rub my sensitive parts the wrong way.

I wear those same skirts, but mine are of jean material, so the only problem I have is usually being in and out of my car.

Hugs - Do you love them? Hate them? A lot of facets to hugs to discuss.

Do you hug a lot? Only very close relatives and friends? Or "friendly hug" lots of people?

Do you like hugs from others? Only from those close to you? Or do you accept casual hugs from others?

There are different types of hugs. A shared embrace. A hug of support or consolation. A light, quick hug as a greeting.

Tell us your thoughts about hugs.

In my family and my extended family, we always greet and part ways with embrazos. And they are warm, tight hugs. The same with my friends. I will occasionally hug a new acquaintance upon parting ways if we've made a connection.

I know people who hug everyone they meet. I won't do that. When I hug someone it is a sincere show of affection, and if we haven't connected in any way other than making each other's acquaintance, hugging them would be awkward and insincere.

I wish that I could go without underwear. I wouldn't even attempt it under a garment made of thinner material, but I have tried with jeans and it was still a no go. At some point it would become obvious that I wasn't wearing any. I don't need that embarrassment.

Hmmmm. So no one else has opinions on hugs or the lack of underwear? Really?

*shakes head woefully*

:p

I rarely go without undies. I have too many pretty panties ... seems like such a waste not to wear them. *shrugs*

"rarely" implies that sometime you do go without panties.

When would that be? Curious (perverted) minds want to know.

I wear underwear.

Black Jockey boxer briefs usually. Sometimes regular boxers if I'm wearing a suit or loose formal trousers. Those are silkier and patterned.

I like hugs too. Long ones are preferred :)

Now, long hugs in boxers, that sounds especially nice :)

Usually. Although unlike some other posters, I do enjoy going without under blue jeans. There's my confession for the day.

And I hug freely.
