Because I am so vanilla at times, ahh off the "gross" fetishes get me.As it is coming up on Halloween, what is the creepiest thing you’ve seen on Lit?
Bonus question: Are you dressing up for Halloween? If so, what/who will you be?
My Lit time is more affected by work than holidays. If anything, anytime I have time off,I an usually here or sleeping.Holidays. Chaotic, stressful, family-filled. How do they affect your Lit time? Do you find you spend more or less time on the site?
Hugs - Do you love them? Hate them? A lot of facets to hugs to discuss.![]()
Do you hug a lot? Only very close relatives and friends? Or "friendly hug" lots of people?
Do you like hugs from others? Only from those close to you? Or do you accept casual hugs from others?
There are different types of hugs. A shared embrace. A hug of support or consolation. A light, quick hug as a greeting.
Tell us your thoughts about hugs.

My family here never picked up the kissing thing, but I enjoyed the cheek kissing when I was there. The big difference for me is that here you hug close friends and family, but there you kissed everyone you knew, and new acquaintances. I rather liked that (a small hug like thing accompanies the kisses, which is why I am grouping them together). As a matter of fact, I think I prefer the closer contact. After you get over your own awkwardness it is a great icebreaker, a gesture which kind of bonds you to people, even superficially. Someone you have kissed holds a greater significance for me somehow than someone I just shook hands with.I grew up in a hugging family. Hugs are great. I remember the first time I met my extended family on my father's side. I was about 18-years-old. They were doing the kissing on the cheek thing, and I juked the shit out of it. I would hate to seem like I'm being rude by not doing it, but no way. It's just not me.
Also, particularly in America, wouldn't you worry about the spread of cold sores. I mean, maybe I'm being paranoid, but that would always be in the back of my mind.
I'm more of a kisser than a hugger. It's an Aussie thing. It took me a long time to unlearn that habit when I moved here.

What is your avatar? I really like it.
< But why would you be more worried about cold sores in the US?I don't notice hoards of people walking around with cold sores.>
Yeah, the kissing thing took a little getting used to I agree. I am not terribly awkward with physical contact, though. I will nudge somebody or put my hand on their arm when talking to them, even strangers. So I guess it wasn't such a great leap for me.
The cold sore thing never occurred to me, but cheek kissing is really just touching cheeks together and making a kissy noise, not usually mouth to cheek contact. So no, didn't worry about that.

Something I pulled of the internet a couple of years back. I cannot remember where at this point...
I'm a hugger with my family and friends but not with general public. I have a huge personal space bubble. I don't think I'd do well in cheek/air kiss cultures. Maybe I'd adjust, but I get anxious if people stand too close to me in lines, so it would be a tough thing for me to get touched/hugged/kissed for greetings.

A couple of years back? What the hell? Do I just not get around on this forum at all? I have never seen you before. lol
