Endless Ends

Okay. So. Apparently neck size is related to an increased risk of obstructive sleep apnea, which can lead to hypoxia in conscious sedation, as well as more likelihood of airway collapse.

(I really need to stay off the internet. 😬😂)

Obesity related, I guess, but hardly definitive. Mine is nowhere near even 15 inches, but it seems like average collar size for men is 15-15 1/2. Too, seems like a narrow range. How do they deal with outliers. 🤔

Also, also. I am in the midst of switching from coffee to tea.

Coffee is lovely, but I can't drink it black, and the additional honey is a sugar hit. I am still drinking some coffee and I like to try different offerings. Like regenerative, biodynamic, that sort of thing.

The other day I stumbled across something I hadn't seen before in a brand I occasionally purchase. It's only organic, not regenerative, but I couldn't resist.

Organic Bitches Brew Notes of Dark Chocolate and Caramel

I now own a pound. :p

Harney and sons have an excellent selection of teas. Paris is one of my favorites.

I wear a 17 1/2. I thought that was within normal range. Anyone wearing a Men’s XL or bigger is probably around that or larger.

Thanks for doing my homework for me. If I can carry your books home from school sometime let me know. Tom
Noted. 😝

My point. If 15 1/2 is average, one can only infer a large segment of the male population is outside the range. Maybe they shift your acceptable number based on gender. It is all online and that question comes first. 🤔

Still laughing, That has to be, hands down, their weirdest medical question I've ever been asked. 🤣

So. I have seen a wide array of creatures out here in these animal infested rural climes. Some, wonderful surprises. Some, not so much. 🤣

The weekend takes the cake. In the ravine connecting two bodies of water, there was -

AN OTTER. WITH HER BABY. 💕

I am still a little flabbergasted. I thought such were confined to coastal areas. It was ah-mazing!

*still so excited*

We had otters on our little dock one night last summer and over never forgotten! They’re adorable! I bought a trail cam in the (so far) vain hopes of catching them again!

Oh! Oh! Meant too say, as this seemed an obvious portent.

(I mean, c'mon. An 🦦)

I looked up their animal spirit meaning. They seem to be about keeping your inner child happy and celebrating the choices you've made.

I'll take it. ☺️

It's just crazy! I'm nowhere near the coast and a good 2-3 three hour drive from a large body of water. Where they are living I can't imagine.

We have had torrents of rain recently, and everything is full to the brim. But still!

They were so incredibly cute!!! 💗

Ours are river otters. The apparently travel in loops around the various tributaries of the main river 🤷‍♂️. So they should be in the area regularly but that doesn’t mean they stop on my spot of shore 🙁

Anesthesia costs money. A lot of hospital’s are cutting costs by choking their patients out.
They just need to make sure “their guy” has the proper size hands. 👍
Also, let me say how shocked I still am at how you managed this so off the cuff!

Hidden depths, Muscles. Hidden depths. 😝

As a child, I was taught it was quite rude to ask people things like what they did for a living or questions about their family or background.

Not only rude, but a faux pas, a vulgarity.

Today, people ask those things on first meet. I find it extremely off-putting.

Is my view regional? Old fashioned? Obsolete? Am I just out of touch with the times?

*wanders off to sob into pillow*

Not really. :p

I don’t know about polite, just think that for most people, what they do to put a roof over their head is the least interesting thing about them. I hate talking about jobs unless your job is cool and interesting.

You know, if I find someone interesting, I don't mind hearing about their job experiences as it adds detail to who they are as a person and their perspectives.

What gets me is the . . . idk, is entitlement the right word? The entitlement the people seem to feel about knowing things about you on a personal level. Job, financials, family, education, marital status, sexual preferences - that stuff is my business and I'll decide when and where and who I choose to disclose such.

Don't get me wrong! I am a curious kitten and all ask question all day long if I feel so moved!

But I make sure the questionee finds my asking acceptable. And I certainly don't lead with questions on personal information. So . . . mannerless.

Gross. 🤢

I am alone in this thinking aren't I? 🤣
Probably not alone but I do think in a smaller group.

I don’t think of someone’s job as personal information, definitely not on the same level as financials or sexual preferences, IMO.

I was taught not to ask about money or age, but I’ve never heard to not ask someone what they do for work. (For reference- I grew up in New England and was also not taught to address people with sir/ma’am)

I'd forgotten age! Also a no go.

Ah. So definitely a bit group or regional. I grew up in the south. Sir/ma'am are (or at least were) beaten into you at a young age.

Curious. What was the alternate mode of address, if you don't mind my asking?
