Has happened to me a few times, when one minute you're talking, you say goodbye for the day, then never hear from them again and been blocked as well so you can't just ask why?
Hurts, even if you've only been talking for a short while that feeling of rejection can really smart.

I guess you just weren't doing it for them. It happens, especially in a place like this where you usually you know very little about the people on the other end, their likes and dislikes. I'd have thought that the chances of making a good, continuing connection were small.

At least they weren't so rude as to cut you off in mid-flow. They waited until after the goodbyes.

Maybe best not to connect with people in this sort of way if you can't take a fairly high proportion of rejections, because it's going to happen.

I wasn't meaning the few messages and no more, I mean full conversation for multiple days, chatting away then, blocked on all fronts no conversation or goodbye

if all the little conversations ending affected me I'd probably have left lit in less than a week and never come back lol

Must only be me then, you're all lucky lol

Yes. Usually people who give a needy vibe or even just a less than alpha male dominant vibe, or get too serious or genuine, or personal get that response.

It's something you have to observe for a while before you understand. A certain kind of woman comes here looking for a certain type of man. Thats all. If you don't fit the bill, you get passed over and they try another flavor.

And same could be said for the men. Looking for one type of woman and if you don't fit the bill, you get passed over for another flavor.

Couldn't agree more!

Oh, that has happened to me a few times as well.

Like Nevyn said, if you're too genuine or if you're too serious that's a bye bye in here. Countless times *shrugs*

It does hurt but people [those who do that] seem not to care...
And I think though it hurts you're better off without those. There are good people out there, even if it takes a while to find them.

To be fair, there's nothing wrong with being the 'wrong sort' - if things aren't right move on. I can't imagine how badly I'd have to not get on before I felt that I had to block someone though. It does seem a bit of an overreaction.

Just a message saying it's not a good fit for whatever reason would be nice, think people just don't take feelings into account

No one is for everyone. I gave 3 people blocked and they each pretty much know why. It sucks that you got blocked without an explanation, but believe me there are plenty of ladies starving to chat with intelligent and witty men on here. Ones that aren't sharing their cocks on first PM. Ones that genuinely want yo get to know them rather than what is under their shirts. So forget about whoever this person was and find someone new. Sometimes it doesn't fit for no particular reason other than they just don't want it to.

Good luck Bro

I would say that I must be pretty lucky. I have always got replies from all and tho I don't have long conversations with any members, I think there are at least a few that I could reach out to and get into one.

This does suck tho from your side

You are great to PM with Eric. :)

Yes. It happens to all of us, even motherfucking warror princesses...:)

Wait...

not blocked but have engaged in conversation a couple of times through the years and mentioned something I guess was not that person's cup of tea and they went silent on me.

Their loss. :)

Best of luck.

There's always a reason, maybe just not one apparent to you.

The only reason I've done so is when they've pissed me the hell off, obviously so, or their posts are annoying, (seriously contemplating that these days).

Did you send unasked for cock pics?

The one time that it became obvious I was blocked was when I posted a Happy Birthday wish in someone's thread and they thanked everyone but me and then a disclaimer 'if I missed anyone, it was intentional'. She made me laugh and points for ingenuity.

  1. Send them a PM, making sure to have a copy saved in your inbox.
  2. Go to your sent messages box.
  3. Find the message you sent. Their name will be under the PM title. Click their name, not the title.
  4. It will take you to one of two pages.
If you get their profile, for instance if you messaged me you get my profile, there's a very good chance you aren't blocked.
If you get a message that the person isn't registered, with the end of the url being "u=cc" then most likely you are blocked.

It isn't 100% foolproof because it's a Vbulletin bug, not a feature, but I've tried it with a few people I know have blocked me and it's worked. Not all versions of Vbulletin have this bug, so it may not work on other forums that use Vbulletin, but it appears to work here.

That's the thing, I wouldn't even know who to suspect, or really care beyond mild curiosity. Plus, what would I say in a PM? I always assumed when someone has you blocked your PM gets a message saying it wouldn't send. Sort of like when PMs are turned off.
