Everyones Favorite Bands

Cocky????
Egotistical????

Isn't that a prerequisite of rock stardom???
But seriously...I've never heard them say anything overly critical of anyone else...they just did not like the "Look at me solo for ten minutes...I am an artist!" attitude that became prevalent in the early 70's. They admitted they were not overly proficient as musicians....but hey it's Rock N Roll....if expertise mattered then Malmsteen would be more than the boring bloated hack he has turned into...

Well anyway...Glad to see someone else likes Maiden, hullo nurse. Got the new CD yet?

Jade something by Bon Jovi on the lyric...song escapes me...gettin old ya know.. Don't know the others....Perhaps Shania???

Jade - I was thinking chocolate gateau and a lil' o' that good old-fashioned tender lovin' care.

Here's my question again with an extra clue.

Q: Who sang "Soy un peu de dog" on his first big single (it's seemingly a Spanish phrase meaning 'I'm lost'), is the Grandson of one of the Fluxus artists and had an album fairly recently called 'Mutations'?

CLUE: He's known by his first name but his last name begins with 'H'.

Good to see Mr Waits in your list there, Conan. Are you a 'Swordfishtrombones' & 'RainDogs' man or more of a 'Small Change' and 'Nighthawks at the Diner' kinduva dude?

(RainDog's my name in the 'Orgy Fest' role-play game. I thought 'Frank's Wild Years' didn't quite work as a snappy first name.)

shit i dont know

in 1987 one of the most influential bands was started in Oakland by Lint and Matt McCall
in 1989 the band broke up

What is the name of this band, and what are they known as now

Don't know. I'll hazard a guess at SLINT because they sound a bit like LINT and they were influential to a lot of lo-fi Scottish bands, including MOGWAI (who basically sound like them).

I don't know what the guy's new band's called or any of their albums and I don't think it's SLINT anyway. But it was good to get to namedrop MOGWAI on the BB.

I'd just like to take this opportunity to also namedrop ARAB STRAP, DAWN OF THE REPLICANTS, DELGADOS, URUSEI YATSURA & PLUTO MONKEY, also from Scotland. (I'm in two of them.)

Jade,
Is it 'Skid Row' with 'Wasted Time'?
