Everyones Favorite Bands

Debauch away, you sultry pepper you...

Now, LL - you know that means it's YOUR turn to make up a question... :)

Yay, Svedish Chef, Uncle Nick it is.

Now did I hear somebody mention there's a debauching going on?

Try this for size... which swedish group were put together by ex management of ABBA?

da Chef

Ace of Base? (or is bass?)

or perhaps it's Ass of Bass (damn typing doesn't let me make sure ya know it rhymes... ugh). ;)

Must be Ace of Base, Roxette or Aha!.

Don't think it can be The Cardigans, The Wannadies or Stina Nordenstam. (You like female singers, Chef. Do you like her? She's got an excellent album - 'And She Closed Her Eyes' on eastwest.)

My turn????

Otay...

What amazing singer/songwriter of the 70's wrote songs for other performers in the 60's, including "Locomotion" and "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow"?

(This person also wrote "Chains" which was performed by the Beatles.)

I knew YOU'D get it, Rog! :)

(Been secretly wanting to get into that pink kilt of yours...purdy clever of me, eh?)

I've already wiped the stationery from my writing desk, LL. Sittin' up here waiting for ya.

=o)

On a more serious note - SMILIES ARE SPOILING MY FUN. =o( No, not these cute analog style ones, I mean the high-filutin' fancy 21st Century ones that wiggle their eyebrows 'n try to mate with your leg and stuff. They're a whole buncha fun but unfortunately my aged computer finds them a bit of a handfull. It took me three tries to load in this page there. The little critters are reproducing like bunny-wabbits on fertility treatment. I know this isn't going to be a popular solution but some of my lab technicians have been working on a humane powder that you just sprinkle around the BB. I'm assured they won't feel a thing.

No... no... no....

HOLD IT RIGHT THERE, PEOPLE!!!!

Only joking. No I've got a lovely family in Kansas who run an open-air smilee farm. The little jaundiced scamps can run free and get up to all kinds of smilee mischief in an environment very similar to being in the wild. (Of course we'll be charging the public a small fee to come in and see them.

No.... no... no. Jeesh! Can you people not take a little joke?)

=o)~

Oh, yeah. My turn to ask again. Easy-peasy. Little Bobby Dylan's real name?

Robert Zimmerman.

So sorry about the trouble you're having with my SUPER DUPER COOL HI-FALUTIN' smilies, Rog. :(

Alot of times I feel like my posts just won't have the right "feel" or "flavor" to them without the absolute most POIFECT smiley. But I like ya. So I will try to use them only when ABSOLUTELY-TOOTLY necessary. (I'll refrain from using them on this particular thread, since it is gettin' to be kinda a pain-in-da-butt to load the damn thread, even for the rest of us.)

Luv'N Junk,

LL

yep true that Laurel, thats why I like SxDx. Because they know they single handedly changed punk in So. California in 1980's and Today. and they are just soo cool about it

Yes, indeed, Lovely Latina. Robert Zimmerman, coRRECT!!!

Didn't I just spot a little blue frownee scuttling about your feet, there? Let me just fetch some o' that powder from the lab. Honestly, it really doesn't do them any long-term damage. It just... uhm... stuns them a bit.

Boo... I have had I'm a Believer running through my head all day... help!!! There are enough voices there without the Monkees joining in.

Hey, Jade,

I've had a word with the impartial judges. Turns out you were wrong all along. The song you were looking for was indeed, as I first suggested, 'Pablo Picasso' by Jonathan Richman. As a result of this, you have to debauch Lovely Latina on her writing desk while Merelan and Gingersnap do up their bootlaces and Gil and I get the beers in.

DCL and the Lashers have said they'll do the show but that's gonna cost extra.

I am sticking with Vincent by Don Mclean
but you can have 2nd place??
Or you can tie for first if you can name the singer OR the song title of the song with these words....

"I've been searching for the daughter of the devil himself. I've been searching for an angel in white."

W. Harold

Ditto on the Moody Blues
I LOVE them and the way they make me feel!

Oh, yeah. Shows just how competetive I am. I was content to wander off with a lump o' bronze when I coulda had my hands on some nice shiny silvah!!!

KEEP BACK IT'S MINE!

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

ONE DAY I'LL OWN THIS WHOLE CITY, D'YA HEAR?

Actually, Jade, could I hand it back? Power makes me a bit sinister and mad.

I'm still up for this consolation prize though. You choose.

which now famous pop diva started out singing back up for brenda k starr in the 80s?

who sang this line and in what song? (think 80s metal)

"I'd live for your smile and die for your kiss"

which beatles song has be re-done by the most artists the most times?

just some trivia for the fun of it
can anyone get all three?

~Jade

Jade...

"One of These Nights" by the Eagles.

(Damn, I'm good! Well...at least gooder than 'ol Rogey boy.)

DA CHEF - I've heard of Stina Nordenstam all the way over here in Scotland. Oh yeah, mind you - someone sent me a copy of her album, which could explain that. She had a song on the 'Romeo + Juliette' soundtrack I think.

JADE - SECOND PLACE?!!!! SECOND PLACE?!!!! Ok, then. I've not got a strong competitive spirit. I'm happy with a bronze (just so long as it doesn't involve being debauched by Gil on LL's writing desk in front of an audience whilst DCL and the Lashers sing sweet lullabies).

LOVELY LATINA - Is this some kind of a challenge? Hmn? Ok, then. But I've not got a strong competitive spirit and I'm happy with a bronze.

BTW - it's your turn to ask a question for getting The Eagles, LL, but it's also my turn for getting Roxette.

Q: Who sang "Soy un peu de dog" on his first big single (it's seemingly a Spanish phrase meaning 'I'm lost'), is the Grandson of one of the Fluxus artists and had an album fairly recently called 'Mutations'?

YEEEEEEEEHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRR!!!!!

Page four, and not a smilee in sight.

:)

Ah, shit!

:(

STOP THAT!!!!

LL you sexy THANG you!!!
How sexy is LL ... let me count the ways!!

Rog...... can I make it up to you?
Silver medal is a pretty great thing I would think! (trust me.... I will have a post under the "things you are good at" thread eventually to elaborate!)
Anyway, if you can think of a consolation prize that would suit you let me know!
