I've gotten nice compliments, but have struggled to pick up readers and am not sure if the story is worth continuing. I might have paced it far too slow, but any feedback on how to improve would be nice. Aside from my first chapter, the most recent is my lowest-rated so far, but it's been a challenge to figure out what doesn't work in my poorly-received chapters.

You pick up followers by publishing more stories, but maybe mix in some standalone stories?
