Fire Side Dancer

Rahn smiled as the evening went on. Sitting with Tora felt nice. He kissed her softly as he heard the light strumming of the guitar. He figured she would have to go dance at some point. That was nearly confirmed when the other two came with their drums.

The brothers astarted talking about something that everyone else seemed excited about. Rahn smiled and just sat back, listening. It seemed like good news, but he had no idea who they were talking about, so he didn't say anything.

 

[Angeltears]

"Will Bell and the baby be at the market when we go?" Lia asked from beside Sol. "Sol nodded and smiled at her, "Yeah she is already there and will be there for a while. Thats where Pion just came from." The three girls looked at each other with a simliar smile on there faces, they wanted to see the baby. Tora sighed happerly and nestled back against Rahn and smiled up at him. Then she realised he wouldn't have any idea what she was talking about and she didn't want him feeling left out. "Bell is a cousin of ours that joined her husbands village a while ago. We don't see her much and the last time we saw her she was pregnant and now she has had a baby girl. Pion is her brother and by the sound of it he is spreading the news, to the family." Tora kissed him and smiled.

Rahn didn't pay much attention until Tora leaned back into him. She smiled at him and he kissed her softly. As she explained he smiled more and nodded. That sounded nice. He wondered what it would be like to have children with Brinna. That was one more step in life that he looekd forward to. The first in line was revealling that they already had the blessing of the elders. The next was living in the same tent with Brinna. After that was children.

"Sol I would look out if I was you, Lia has that look in her eye as if she wants one," Ash said with a laugh and Lia blushed. Sol looked at her and then looked at Ash, "What Lia wants is none of your concern, any way I would give her anything her heart desires." Sol said these last things looking at Lia and she blushed deeper and kissed him.

Tora smiled at the two of them and then at Rahn. Tan was talking softly to Kara who was playing with the strings still but with his hands guiding hers. "I love you Rahn," Tora whispered to him and kissed his cheek. Ash sighed, "I give up." Then started playing a beat with his drum going along with Kara's plucking of the strings.

Rahn didn't really pay attention to the others in the group. He smiled down at the love of his life. He kissed Tora softly when she told him she loved him. He smiled happily and rested hi head against hers. He spoke softly as Ash started playing his drum. "I love you to Tora." The music seemed to be starting slowly. Soon it would probably be what it usually was and Tora would probably go out and dance. He'd miss having her in his arms, but enjoy watching her dance. Yet, part of him told him that her dancing was part of the problem. It was what put her in the spot light to catch the attention of the other men. He couldn't stop her from dancing though.

Tora sat there relaxing as there heads rested together. Listening to the music Kara and Ash played, she knew she would get up and dance soon but for now she just wanted to spend time looking at Rahn. Soon another beat joined Ash's and she knew Sol had started playing. As the sound of the music wove over her she felt the urge to move, to dance. The muisc and the dance offered her an escape that had been there before Rahn had come along. Kissing Rahn deeply as she pressed herself against him, a wild look coming to her eyes as she looked at him though half lidded eyes.

Rahn smiled and relaxed with Tora. He caressed her back softly as they looked into eachothers eyes. Soon the music was as it usually was. Tora kissed him deeply. Her body pressed against him and he returned her kiss. He poured love and passion into it. He saw the look in her eyes and held her tight to his body. His eyes then closed and he simply kissed her deeply, passionately, and lovingly.

Closing her eyes as she saw Rahn's close she matched his kiss. She loved him so much and she shared it with him in the kiss. Her arms wrapping around him as he held her tight. Between the music and his kiss she wished they where some where private just the two of them. Tora forgot all about the people around her.

The others of the group didn't pay attention to them. Sol and Ash concentrating on the music, Lia watching Sol. Tan had the guitar in his lap and was playing while Kara watched his hands move and she was humming along with the tune.

Rahn felt great as Tora wrapped her arms around him. He could feel the love she had for him. He also felt her wanting to be somewhere private. He felt the same way. He ignored everything else. He created a little private place for them in his mind, a quiet spot where it was just the two of them and the music. He loved kissing her and feeling her close. It was great.

Since Tora was not dancing, a few other people in the crowd decided that they should not waste the music. They got up and started dancing around the fire for fun. It was not meant to be a show, it turned into the village just having a good time with the music.

Ash smiled as the people got up and started to dance and he glanced over at Tora and was about to say something about it to her but stopped knowing she would hear anything he said any way. Not with the way she was kissing Rahn. He smiled at them and then turnbed back to watching the crowd, happy for his sister.

Tora pictured them as her eyes were closed kissing in the forest the music distant but still strong as it wove around the two of them. They where together and alone. The feeling as they kissed where those she felt when dancing but stronger and much much more than anything she had felt before she had fallen in love with Rahn.

Rahn also pictured them out in the forest. It seemed to be the only place they had that was quiet. It was also very nice. The music was good and the moment was perfect. He kissed Tora and felt something better than anything he'd ever even heard of. He knew he wasnted to spend the rest of his life with her. There was no doubt in his mind. He could hear people laughing a talking by the fire, but did not know what was going on, and didn't care.

Lia and Kara got up and danced but they stayed close to the brothers. Then Ash jumped up and resting his drum on his hip he danced around with the girls. It was harder than it looked trying to keep it there and it would cause the others to laugh. There laughter and the need for air brought Tora out of her place alone with Rahn and she pulled back slightly and looked at him. "Wow," she whispered taking a quick breath.

Rahn looked up when Tora broke the kiss for air. He finally heard the laughter of others. He looked over and saw everyone dancing. He heard Tora say wow and he nodded in agreement. He smiled at her and kissed her softly. "This is surprising, but it looks like you don't need to dance tonight."

"Your right," Tora replied glancing at the fire the people dancing around. "But the question is do you want to sit this one out or join them?" she asked. By this many of the young men where up dancing with the young women, see Ash had started to gather a few to himself with his antics and music. "Or would you rather seat here and watch until they all tire themselves out?"

Rahn smiled as she asked if he wanted to join the people out there. He looked out at them and thought for a little while. He then turned back to Tora and kissed her softly. When he pulled back after a moment he smiled again. "Let's join them, but wait until the next song. For now, I like it right here.

“I like it here too,” Tora said and smiled at him. Sitting there with them she watched as Ash danced with the two girls. Sol and Tan were sitting still and watching them as they played. Resting in his arms Tora kissed Rahn’s cheek listening for the song to end and another one to begin. The song slowly started to slow and soon it was over. Tora smiled at Rahn and stood up offering him her hand.

Rahn smiled and stayed there with her. He enjoyed keeping eachother warm in that way. Rahn did not watch the crowd, he simply watched his love sitting there with him. Tora kissed his cheek and he kissed hers. When the song ended, Tora got up. He took her hand and stood up with her. They walked out by the fire and as the new song started, they began to dance.

Kara, Lia and Ash smiled when they saw Rahn and Tora join them. Tora smiled at Rahn the whole time, she was happy because she was doing two of her favourite things at the moment, spending time with Rahn and dancing. Spinning around Rahn, she would laugh enjoying herself. The other three of there group felt them alone to dance together for one song. But when the second one started Ash was over with the girl behind him and the two girls grabbed Tora's hand and they danced together around Ash and Rahn.

Rahn enjoyed the dance with Tora. It was quite fun being out there with her. They laughed together and he couldn't get the smile off his face even if he wanted to. During the second song a couple of other girls joined Tora and they danced with Ash and Rahn. Rahn smiled and his eyes barely left Tora.

As Tora danced she smiled brightly at Rahn, brushing the hair out of her face every so often. The music continued and every one laughed and had fun dancing. Ash eventually drop out of dancing sitting next to his brothers and the three of them played. As the night got later people slowly started to vanish into the night heading to there tents. Lia lay curled next to Sol her head in his lap, Kara was sitting on the ground between Ash and Tan her eyes slowly shutting and Tora sat down where she had been dancing. Tired and worn out but still smiling.

Rahn happily danced with Tora until the music died down and everyone started to leave. The girls looked quite tired and Rahn smiled. Tora sat on the ground and smiled. Rahn bent over and picked her up. He carried her in his arms over to the others. "Looks like it is time to take these ladies to a test so they can sleep comfortably."

He and the other guys carried the three girls to one of their tents and lay them inside and covered them with blankets. Rahn kissed Tora goodnight and then he and the brothers went outside teh tent to decide the scheduel for who would keep watch and who would sleep at what times.

Tora didn’t comment on Rahn picking her up this time, she was too tired. Wrapping her arms around his neck as he carried her over to the others. Giving him a kiss on the cheek she rested her head on her arm by his face. The three brothers looked up at Rahn and nodded Ash collected the instruments and Sol picked up Lia who slept on through out the whole time he carried her. Tan helped Kara to her feet but as she stumbled as they started to walk towards the tents he stopped and scooped her up. Kara looked up at him in shock and started whispering that she could walk and he didn’t need to carry her and sorry for being a burden. Tan laughed to her softly and told her that she wasn’t a burden and he didn’t want her to hurt herself because she was too tired to walk. Kara went silent after that. Tora drifted as they walked. When they stopped she realised that they had brought her to her tent and her sleepy mind told her that it was a good place because the brother’s tents were next to hers. Tora smiled slightly at Rahn when he kissed her and she closed her eyes and fell asleep.

When Rahn joined the brothers, Tan looked at him. “I was thinking of taking the first watch,” Tan said looking at his brothers as well. “Well I am tired so if it’s okay with the rest of you I will take the second half of the night,” Ash said. “It doesn’t bother me either way. Rahn do you have a preference?” Sol asked.

Rahn smiled at the brothers as they made their decisions. He shrugged. "I guess I'll take the first shift. Where should I sleep after my shift?" Once he got his answer he continued. "Ok, I guess we will see you two in a few hours. We will wake you up." He watched as Ash and Sol go to their tents. He then sat near the entrance to the tent while Ash sat on the other side so they could watch all directions and prevent anyone from sneaking in under the sides. Rahn did not have trouble staying awake and alert.

((Only time to post once in all my threads tonight. Need to sleep earlier than normal to be ready for a trip tomorrow, which also means I will not be online tomorrow))

“You can sleep in mine,” Ash said. Sol and Ash nodded and headed to there tents, wishing Rahn and Tan a goodnight. Tan looked to Rahn and then took his position on the other side from where Rahn positioned himself. Tan was wide-awake so he would be okay for the night. Tora slept soundly with the other two girls.

In the shadows of the tents two people moved they saw Rahn and Tan watching over the tent. They looked at each other and then turned and headed back in amongst the shadows.

Rahn thought he had heard and seen something, but when he looked harder he didn't see anything. He stayed alert the whole night. When it was time to switch shifts, he called to Tan who Rahn got up from his spot and went to Ash's tent. He lay down and fell asleep. he went into a light sleep, still nervous. He hoped he would be able to wake up with any alarming noise.
