I'm going to start working on an opening IC post. It'll probably be one of my epic ones but don't worry about that or think I expect essays from you all. 
I've been in two minds about how much direction to give you guys and I think just for the very beginning, I'm going to be specific. That way, we'll kick off with everyone knowing where everyone else is, where they're supposed to be and what they're supposed to be doing. After that it's pretty much down to you to move your character through events as they unfold. Unless there's a huge discrepancy or an action is made that could derail the agreed plot, I will not interfere.
General plots will be discussed and agreed on this thread. The details we'll work out as we go and I'm sure Marauder and LilyBean will have the odd surprise up their sleeves. We'll go with what the majority wants to do so don't be reticent about giving your opinion or worry about outvoting me. I want everyone to enjoy the thread and to feel that their input is valuable.
So, Day 1 on Persephone
Post one will see Serenity landing on Persephone. Inara's shuttle will detach and she will go visit a client, who I haven't dreamed up yet. I'm thinking he's going to be someone that spoilt Atherton Wing can't stand.
Mal and Zoe will make a drop to Badger (NPC) of some jewellery swiped from some swanky homes in Bellerophon Estates. After some haggling over what constitutes fair payment for such expensive jewels, Badger gives them word of a lucrative job that Mingo & Fanty are looking to pull and Bellemonde becomes Serenity's next destination.
Wash will be overseeing the re-fuelling of Serenity. After that's completed, he'll keep an eye on the ship until his wife returns so he can get her dolled up and take her out for dinner.
Simon and Kaylee will be stocking up on engine parts and medical supplies with Jayne in tow to make sure they don't get shot or ripped off. River will be with Simon.
Book will go and visit Southdown Abbey, where he lived before he decided to broaden his mission and join Serenity's crew.
Marauder & Saffron with be offworld, hot on Serenity's trail. They will get to Persephone the next morning and find they've missed Serenity's departure. Marauder will pull out all the stops to catch up with them and they will encounter each other somewhere in the black between Persephone and Bellemonde. During this time, Saffron will get rumbled and Serenity will be the only place she can get to in a shuttle.
That's just the basics, so everyone knows where to kick off from. The first day and night will be fairly uneventful so people can do pretty much as they please as long as they're back on board by morning. Is that ok?

give me a few minutes to come up with a snappy retort. I just woke up after having passed out three hours ago (needed a nap) to find my room unbearably hot and my CPU temp about 3 degrees higher than I'd like it to be (and my body temp about twenty higher)
