The easiest way for her to relax is to have some kind of other stimulation while she is being penetrated. This has been my experience, too. I figure it's a mental thing, and having something else like clitoral stimulation takes my focus away just enough to relax and feel only pleasure. Its good to see someone has been doing their reading here. I also mention that book in the thread I started some time back on this subject. Everyone interested in anal should have a copy of that book.

On condoms, urethral infection is possible if the receiver hasn't had a movement that day. In porn and in certain fetish practices I've seen and heard of enemas being used as a prelim to the act for both protection and aesthetics. This is something my wife and I have never done, so I don't know first hand.

Also, condoms are great, as are latex gloves, for removing a lot of the initial friction during insertion when used with a water-based lube. This is a huge comfort issue for the one that's doing the receiving. Starting with a finger or two from a gloved hand with some lube can often help things along dramatically.
