It won't matter. I knew a handful of the people that came to the Chicago one, but none of the others (and a couple of the ones I knew I wasn't exactly best friends with). Once we got there, it was a blast. We talked about writing, Lit politics, dished gossip, etc... The people are very nice and you will find plenty in common with them all. One of my favorite parts was being able to intelligently discuss adult topics with people who really understand the subject (with no hint of embarrassment).
