Thank you, honey. I appreciate all the help you gave me during the process. You did a spectacular job curating the recipes. One of the most important aspects of fine food is balance. You have achieved a great, well-rounded balance of flavors, ingredients, occasions, and contributors. Savory, sweet, hearty, light, crunchy, creamy, elegant, rustic. Great work, sweetheart.
My kudos and thanks go out again to all of the Foodies here. Without you, this thread would be nothing. All of your contributions, whether they be in the form of recipes, food talk, or just random silliness, are warmly appreciated.

You can order directly from the preview page.Oooh, I'm in the cookbook, and I want one...
Where do I order?
Oooh, I'm in the cookbook, and I want one...
I bought one.
THANK YOU!

You may have to "join" in order to checkout (just give e-mail and a password), but it's free. Also, the free shipping code is on the upper right of the page.
There are lots of other books (put together by food editors and such) and thousands of recipes to access. http://www.tastebook.com/
The card deck is a really unique idea and I think it's great that they're making charitable donations. I'd love to see more of that kind of activity going on around here.Thank you, thank you!
I got one.
I love this site. The Author's Hangout had a deck of cards made with the Av's of people there, and also a bunch of merchandise (I bought a T-shirt) named after one of the threads over there who also sends the proceeds to the charity.
This is fantastic. Ulaven had a book made for me this Christmas with family photos, I hadn't thought to apply it to a cookbook, what a lovely idea.
I made up an online photo album for family members years ago and I would like to make a collection of family recipes, too. Mine is scattered all over the U.S., so it's great that everyone can just upload their favorites. If this book proves popular with the foodies, I'll definitely make up some "theme" ones.

Thanks, sweetie.Collette, you're the best!
The cookbook is wonderful and I will be ordering one.
I've missed this thread. Summer is our busy time of the year, so unfortunately, I have to actually work instead of play on Lit.
I've been looking for quick recipes that require very little cooking time. I want to use my stove/oven as little as possible since our electricity bill is going to be 500% higher than normal for the next few months. I am going through baking withdrawls.![]()

Thanks, sweetie. We've missed seeing you here.
I recall reading in another thread about the electricity cost. I can't imagine having a bill that high. Myself and the others here will have to post some yummy recipes that don't use the oven! (I love to bake so I feel your pain.)
500%???
Wow. That sucks.
Yes, it does suck.
Here's a run down of events since the avalanche took out our hydro system.

I've made some yummy no-bake cookies, but it's just not the same. It was a rainy, gloomy Sunday and all I could think about was filling the house with the aroma of freshly baked cookies or brownies. I lit one of my pineapple candles and that helped a little.![]()
Shipping includes my airfare to hand deliver it.How do I get an autographed copy of the Foogasm Cookbook?
I'm sure none of their offerings will beat the jello, but Coleman has lots of campfire/grilling recipes on their site. Cook out at Del's house!I wish you all the best. You can make my sugar free jello with pineapple chunks over a wood fire if need be.

I just posted about Giada De Laurentiis in another thread and it made me wonder if she'd had her baby (due this month). Did a quick search and found that she had her daughter on March 29th. I thought this was a great photo of the family.

LOL at "bobble baby".You know I had left islandman this message about her and the baby
http://forum.literotica.com/showpost.php?p=26683255&postcount=2924
but I totally forgot to put it here. I love that picture. I was expecting her to name the baby a very fancy Italian name...but she picked Jade, which is pretty, just not what I expected from someone named Giada.
