1. All empires eventually fall. 2. I think that the environmental crisis is the long-term threat. Short-term threats are potential nuclear war, political violence/terrorism, and some kind of Chinese economic collapse turning into a domino effect for us, prompted by a massive sell-off by desperate Chinese investors (normally, a good thing to regain our real estate and other assets, but all at once could trigger a housing crash). China's economy is very soft right now, and we could hedge against this by disengaging a bit more from China and becoming more self-reliant (and no, I'm not advocating a trade war). There are ways to reduce the risk. There are very practical ways to ward against that. I hope that our leaders have the foresight to do their part to prevent such things. That's all the more reason not to vote for a deranged, demented narcissist with autocratic leanings and delusions of grandeur. You've said this quite a few times now, at first I thought you were just engaging in election-year hyperbole.
Wat, in your opinion, will be the harbinger of the American demise? War? Famine? Financial Crisis? Homosexuals? Cat boxes in elementary school restrooms?
America has weathered all of the above before and still remains strong.
Privately owned firearms are politically useless. And then they gave us the second to make sure that we're heard.
Remember, this civilization is more than just the United States.Look, I get being cynical. I can be that way myself. For myself, I think that we're probably about five or six years away from the end of this civilization.
I seePrivately owned firearms are politically useless.
If Trump wasn't such a hateful person, this would stick the landing.

Well, I'm not trying to fear monger as such, so there's that. I'm just sharing my concerns as an aside. I can't base my decisions on a premonition or fear. I just keep that in the back of my mind.So you kinda sorta maybe think things are ending for humanity and your answer is "vote"
Campaigns fear monger much better than you.
trueRemember, this civilization is more than just the United States.
Tell that to Wat_Tyler. He has deluded himself into believing his little small arms cache is enough to hold off the combined might of the United States Army and United States Air Force.Privately owned firearms are politically useless.
Yes, but the way that we are all connected, one domino's fall tends to bring down the rest.Remember, this civilization is more than just the United States.
ah, I love the smell of perpetual victimhood in the morning.true
by that definition
a substantial amount of civilization hates/envies (not emulates) the United States
Dude, the major dominoes are the United States and China. Arguably Germany, too, but that's another matter.so if Canada falls it knocks the US over?
Haiti didn't
Your concerns are hyperbolic fear mongering. Maybe it's mongering your own self, but it certainly has no basis in reality.Well, I'm not trying to fear monger as such, so there's that. Because it owns law enforcement. You wouldn't even last long enough to fight the National Guard, let alone the Army.I see
because government "owns" the army?
Have it your way. I hope that you're right. I have sufficient hope at this moment to behave as if you are. That includes voting for people who might be less likely to instigate such a collapse, in case it can still be averted. I have sufficient fear to prepare for the worst in my own way (and I'm not talking about voting).Your concerns are hyperbolic fear mongering. As I said ....if you believe your civilization is in ending...in any real sense of the worst "ending", voting should not be your first response...especially if you believe you're trying to protect your family....because voting does not protect them in that situation.
law enforcement is not the people
they will not be with me/us
they have it too good
(or something)
gotcha
My way is that your association between world ending catastrophe and actions to take in response is broken. I'm not even discussing whether the world is ending or not. You better believe that if I consider that the world is ending, my first reaction won't be...."let's see who I should vote for"Have it your way. I hope that you're right. Oh, I have contingencies for that. The voting is a contingency for if the world isn't doomed. My way is that your association between world ending catastrophe and actions to take in response is broken. The tendency to dismiss the reality of asymmetrical warfare and the tendency to assume that in a civil disturbance, the unity of the chain of command is absolute, are examples of startling naivete on the part of some folks, but that's to be expected. Some folks are very sheltered. That's all I'm going to say. I just hope that it never comes to that. It would fuck us up for generations. We don't honestly know what would happen in such scenarios, which is all the more reason to try to avoid them if at all possible.LE also isn't the NatGuard or the Army, who aren't supposed to act as law enforcement.
Or something like that, all of which would be tossed out the window, baby and bath water, if the feces contact the Rotating Air Disturbers.
Him being a "hateful person" is a fabrication of the left and in your case a phobia. Your emotional intensity in regard to Trump is driven by a narrow perspective and a defensive justification to maintain your hatred. There is no credible evidence for half of what you believe about Donald Trump. You've been brainwashed. If Trump wasn't such a hateful person, this would stick the landing.
But when the video doesn't move the polls, the chants will ring out "hang Nicole Shanahan"

Lol.....yes ..total fabrication.Him being a "hateful person" is a fabrication of the left and in your case a phobia. A man who was willing to thrown his own Vice President under the bus is not a man to be trusted, in any case. Trump has no loyalty to others, but he expects loyalty to him. Think about what kind of personality has that trait.Lol.....yes ..total fabrication.
Let's ask Mike Pence
No credible evidence?
JFC....
