For Those Who Might Be Wondering Why We Might Be In Ukraine

...I'll bet you ended up given money to Trump....

LOL. No-one can say that about me. EVERY SINGLE DOLLAR I've donated for the last 3 years has been to Ukrainian fundraisers for military equipment or for kit. Or drones. Or night vision equipment.

Zelenskyy confirms Ukrainian military presence in Russia’s Belgorod Oblast

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has officially confirmed the presence of Ukrainian military forces in Russia’s Belgorod Oblast, marking the first such acknowledgment at the highest level since Russia’s full-scale invasion began more than three years ago. “We continue to conduct active operations in the border areas on enemy territory, and this is absolutely fair – the war must return to where it came from,” Zelenskyy said.

The Ukrainian president emphasized that the main objective of these cross-border operations is to protect Ukrainian communities in Sumy and Kharkiv oblasts, which have been systematically targeted by Russian forces, and to “ease the pressure” on other parts of the front line, particularly in the eastern Donetsk Oblast. According to the DeepState OSINT project, which maintains an interactive military map, Ukrainian troops have occupied 13 square kilometers of Russian territory near the border village of Demidovka in Belgorod Oblast. Zelenskyy also acknowledged Ukraine’s continued presence in parts of Russia’s Kursk Oblast following last year’s large-scale incursion.

Buffett’s billion-dollar commitment to Ukraine
  • Howard G. Buffett is on track to donate $1 billion in aid to Ukraine this year.
  • Buffett remains committed despite uncertainty in US-Ukraine relations.
  • His foundation focuses on humanitarian needs like agriculture and demining.
Howard G. Buffett, a Republican philanthropist and son of legendary investor Warren Buffett, is making his 18th visit to Ukraine since Russia’s full-scale invasion in 2022. Buffett also expressed skepticism about the prospect of a lasting peace deal, stating the prospect is “impossible.” “Putin doesn’t want it, and he won’t respect it,” he said.

Buffett, whose foundation has worked in conflict zones for over two decades, emphasized the importance of witnessing the conditions firsthand to fully grasp the war’s scale. He recalled a particularly impactful drive from Kharkiv to Borova, near the front line, where he passed through village after village flattened by Russian attacks. He added that atrocities committed in towns like Bucha, Borodyanka and Irpin, where Russian forces tortured, raped and executed civilians, are often forgotten outside Ukraine.

Apparently the ukies have placed mines in the cemeteries as they retreated from the kursk area during the very costly and bloody failure in kursh.... side note, Zelensky/napoleon pissed away some of his best troops and equipment in the obvious disaster....by some accounts upwards of 14,000 soldiers sacrificed because of Zelensky's shitfuckery....

Russian estimates of Ukrainia KIA's are pure fiction. They really have no idea, they don't do battlefield stats that way we and the Ukrainians do. The dont even have any idea of their own KIA's and WIA's, ALL their numbers are fudged or fiction. An accurate rule of thumb these days is about 10 Russians for 1 Ukrainian. ZSU estimates approx 50k Russians taken out in Kursk, and the ratio of KIA's to WIA's for the Russian forces is heavily weighted to KIA's as their medevac and casualty treatment is appalling by our (and the Ukrainian) standards. So worst case in Kursk is 5k Ukrainian casualties, and as for shitfuckery, it served its purpose.

It dragged Russian reserves away from the Donbas. It moved the fighting into Russia, where it belongs, and it chewed up and spat out the Russian reserves.

As for mines, well, seeing as the Russians have mined everywhere in Ukraine they have retreated from or are defending, that's good. I hope a lot of Russians lose their feet, legs and balls to Ukrainian mines. Even better if they are turned into mincemeat and then barbecued. Orcs deserve nothing less.

As for losing an M1 Abrams? Shrugs. They're made to fight. And when you're in a war, you take losses. They're not impervious just because they're American. That said, it took hit, lost a track, but it looks intact, which means the crew survivd to fight another day, unlike the Russian tank crews who are generally incinerated or join the Russian space program/

(Zero Hedge)—The Trump administration is mulling the potential withdrawal of up to 10,000 troops from Eastern Europe, NBC News reports Tuesday, citing half-a-dozen American and European officials privy to the discussions.

The internal discussions are specifically focused on reducing US troop levels in Romania and Poland, long dubbed NATO’s most important ‘eastern flank’ countries. If effected, the move would cut the Pentagon troop surge which began following the start of the Ukraine war by half, after some 20,000 soldiers were surged there to bolster Eastern Europe.

“In the early morning hours of March 25, the four Soldiers went missing. The first three Soldiers and their M88A2 Hercules armored recovery vehicle were recovered from a peat bog in the early morning of March 31,” a US Army statement later confirmed. Addressing the potential for a US draw-down in the region, NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte has said this would be done in close coordination among European allies.

NATO leadership has been in discussions for coming up with a plan to fill the gap of US leadership within the alliance five to ten years down the road, amid speculation Trump could pull the US out of NATO, or at least greatly reduce Washington commitments.

Europe needs to work harder to defend itself and we may need to move troops into other theatres.

The US is allied with Russia.

The US is allied with Russia.

That's the key logistical base for moving aid to Ukraine. That the US is pulling out illustrates in spades that Trump has no intention of assisting Ukraine in any way, shape or form.

Actions speak far louder than words. Trump has pulled out of this base. There has been no new aid to Ukraine since Trump was elected - the only aid coming thru is that which Biden approved before he left office. Trump has taken no action over Russian "ceasefire violations" and has not so much as even commented adversely on Russian terrorist attacks on Ukrainian civilians. And he's STILL trying to extort concessions from Ukraine in return for .....nothing.

Yes, the USA is now allied with Russia and the sooner the EU recognizes this formally and stops wasting time talking about ceasefires and peackeeping forces, the better.

Ukraine has now proposed BUYING 50-60 billion worth of military equipment from the USA - if this goes nowhere, then it's 100% confirmed that Trump is bought and paid for by Putin.

I continue to say this directly to Reichy.

He actually should be jubilant to understand this but instead he pretends to not suck the Putin cock even though the collage of shirtless Putin photos are hiding in his back room.

They being said, I think he has a second room of 47 photos....and possibly a Xi room as well

Funny enough, I know he'll take that literally and demand a cite.

Maintaining that 45k KIA and WIA average.

Russia is mobilizing about 35k soldiers a month, meaning on average a net loss.

Statements of the US Supreme Allied Commander & Commander of US Troops in Europe, stands in VERY sharp contrast to the Trump Administration.

CONTEXT: Annual hearing in the House Armed Services Committee + questions from the committee.

WHO: 4-star General Christopher G. Cavoli - Commander of US troops in Europe and Supreme Allied Commander. 38 years in the US army. Served in Iraq and Afghanistan. (
Someone with rather more military experience than Trump, or former USMC Corporal Vance and in a much better position to assess these things. How long before Trump fires him?).

Cavioli is not just any General. He's SACEUR, the Supreme Allied Commander Europe. This means that he commands all NATO troops and operations from all branches of the military in the whole European theatre (which includes NATO HQ and the vast majority of member states and thus arguably the most important part of NATO worldwide). In case of a full scale war with Russia, that is more troops and capability than the US has in the world. This position is only given to the most capable and experienced of military leaders. So he is not A US General, he is THE US General...

INTRODUCTION: Russia's war in Ukraine, now in its fourth year, has revealed Russia to be a chronic threat and we see in the future it will be a growing threat. One that is willing to use military force to achieve its geopolitical goals. Russia is today actively waging a campaign of destabilization across Europe and beyond.

IS RUSSIAS ARMY STRONG? Overall, the quality of their forces, especially their ground forces, has been decreasing throughout the war. On the Ukrainian side we see sort of the opposite. We see a military that started, pretty much from a cold start and they've evolved and developed very very quickly. We have learned a lot from watching both sides.

QUESTION: The Russian's are nowhere near being able to make a big push right now?
Answer: That is my assesment, Chairman.

QUESTION: ARE THE UKRAINIANS DESTINED TO LOSE?
Answer: No, Senator. Thank you for the question, because I think it's an important one. The Ukrainians are in very strong defensive positions right now and are improving weekly their ability to generate force and to reinforce those positions. It is very hard to invesion Ukraine collapsing and losing that conflict. I do not think there's an inevitability to a Ukrainian loss.

QUESTION: ARE UKRAINE WINNING? Is Ukraine from this time last year (until today) winning this war against Russia?
Answer: They are in a much better position not to lose it, Senator Tuberville.
Question: They are trying to win, right?
Answer: They are trying to win. They wanna start, by making sure Russia doesn't win.

QUESTION: WILL A PEACE DEAL HOLD? Do you believe, that if any sort of deal was made with Putin, that he'd be done with invading neighboring countries and adventurism in Europe?
Answer: I do not, ma'am. My professional assessment, built on years of study (38 years in the army),that this is part of a broader pattern in ruzzian history and certainly in current Russian activity. That is my professional assessment of the threat.

QUESTION: SHOULD USA SUPPORT UKRAINE? You previously stated, that supporting Ukraine is vital for American security. Can you confirm, that you still believe that is correct?
Answer: I do believe that. Yes Ma'am.

QUESTION: IS MILITARY AID BEING ABUSED? We've heard from critics of the military aid, that there are significant numbers of weapons stolen or missing. I believe, we are tracking down to virtually every bullet and there is no evidence of that, whatsoever. Would you agree?
Answer: I agree with that. We have seen no deliberate effort to transfer, sell or steal weaponry. The Ukrainians are using it to defend their country.

QUESTION: REFERENDUMS IN OCCUPIED TERRITORIESA member of the committee asked if the elections were rigged.
Answer: Yes sir. That was the widespread conclusion at the time. During his answer General Cavoli also rejected the legitimacy of the referendums in the occupied territories of Ukraine. Another sharp contrast to the Trump Administration.

STATUS ON F-16'S? The planes are active. They are flying every day. They've defeated a large number of cruise missile threats. They have delivered an awful lot of offensive attacks as well. None of the F16s has come from the US though. They've come from Northern European countries - The Netherlands and Denmark.

STATUS ON PATRIOT SYSTEMS? They are up and running. That has been in my mind a success story. I was a little bit dubious in the beginning, its a complicated system. We train guys for a long long time to be able to operate it. The Ukrainians took to it like fish to water. In fact, we learn from some of their emplyment techniques right now.

UKRAINIAN ARMY TRANSITION: Ukraine has transitioned in to a mainly western equipped army, which is pretty complicated. We operate off a different aiming circle. It's amazing to do that under fire, under the pressure of one of the worlds largest armies. It's a fantastic feat!

ALLIES: Our strengthened allies will increase our strength. And our deep relationships gives us the access, the basing and the intelligence necessary to do this.

RUSSIA AND CHINA: Is Russia helping China develop military capabilities, that could affect the US?
Answer: They are certainly cooperating, not for the benefit of USA.

TAIWAN: Do you believe, that ruzzia is watching what we are doing with ruzzia in Europe and Ukraine, and learning lessons they may use to invade Taiwan.
Answer: They are.

KURSK STATUS: The Russian's set an original goal to end of september to have the Ukrainians out of Kursk. The Ukrainians are still in Kursk. They have a sizeable force there holding a sizeable chunk of ground. They are holding on very good defensive terrain.

BELGOROD: In Belgorod south of Kursk, the Ukrainians pushed a smaller counteroffensive in to ruzzia. So we still have a back and forth going up in that area.

CHASIV YAR STATUS: They have been fighting over Chasiv Yar and Toretsk for 8 months. In recent weeks the Russian offensives have sort of petered out. They have been decreasing in scale, moving from company size to platoon size, now basically small groups of infantry trying to rush forward under artillery fire and they have failed to gain ground. In fact Ukraine has gained some ground there recently.

POKROVSK STATUS: The Russian's continue to tie to take Pokrovsk. They are stalled out on the axis trying to encircle it. They got pretty close, but the Ukrainians has held the Russians back.

CONCLUSION: The official opinion of the very top of the US Army points in the opposite direction of views expressed by The White House. Notable that the US Army bases their opinion on facts and intelligence, where the Trump Administration bases their opinions on Russian propaganda. Draw your own conclusions.
