These water trucks are heading from Russia's Rostov toward Ukraine.
Due to Russian occupation, Donetsk region has been left without water.
The region is currently suffering from extreme heat, and water is almost entirely unavailable. Both drinking and technical water now has to be delivered to more than 1.2 million residents of Donetsk and Makiivka, as well as to half a million people in other towns and cities.
There is also a shortage of water for Russian soldiers from the "Center" and "East" military groupings.
The hopelessness of the situation is not that there is no way to deliver water - because of leaky pipes, destroyed water intakes, and pumping stations. The real disaster is that the water itself has physically run out.
In the Donetsk coal basin, nearly all mines have been flooded during the occupation. As long as the mines were operating or kept in dry conservation, water was regularly pumped out. But after Russian forces occupied the city in 2014, they first sold all the equipment from these mines for scrap metal, and then simply flooded everything.
Flooding the mines means stopping the pumping of water from them - disrupted water horizons, underground rivers, etc. do their job. The tragedy is that once a mine fills up, its contents mix with these groundwater horizons. The resulting excess pressure forces this mine water to rise to the surface, creating huge rust-colored swamps - that's iron oxide.
As a result, all water horizons in Donbas are now unfit for any use. This is a massive environmental catastrophe that no one is talking about.

Aeroflot servers are bricks, all Aeroflot servers are down, everything is now being done manually - roughly half a year to get back up. They were running on Windows XP. A quick check says mainstream support for Windows XP ended on April 14, 2009, and extended support ended on April 8, 2014!!!!! Windows Embedded POSReady 2009, based on Windows XP Professional, received security updates until April 2019. The final security update for Service Pack 3 was released on May 14, 2019. So assuming they had the latest, (unlikely) this has all been completely unsupported for years . rotflmao. Theui CEO hasn't changed his password in 3 years. I wonder which window he'll fallout of?
Maintenance records gone. Crew locations and schedules - gone. Spare parts? No idea where they are. Almost all flights cancelled. Passengers unable to check in. Refueling not possible. 7000 physical and virtual servers destroyed. They were inside the systems for a year, so I imagine all the backups are garbage now as well. All critical corporate systems compromised.
I remember readig somewhere that if a big corprate has a complete systems failure like this, they usually go bankrupt and collapse wintin a few months, even with a DR site, and I imagine Aeroflot DR sites are gone too. Let's see if this collapses Aeroflot.

Zelensky deserves criticism for his actions here. I'm glad he is changing course due to that political pressure from the people of Ukraine.
I will add - this is exactly an argument against the argument that Zelensky is a.dictator.

Al Jazeera have their moments. I generally ignore them but occassionally there are gems.
It's a bit like CNN - when its American, CNN are way biased, but where it's not tied to anything they are trying to spin, they can actually be rather good.
