Notwithstanding the foregoing propaganda:

"Ukrainian city of Pokrovsk have urged residents there to evacuate as troops draw near. The city is one of Ukraine's main defensive strongholds and a key logistics hub in the Donetsk region."

This happened because Ukraine pulled mechanized forces out of the Donetsk region to attack the lightly defended Kursk region north of the existing line of contact. This effort has created a salient into Russian territory where all forward movement southeast, east, northwest, and north has been surrounded and cut off. This salient is roughly 144 square miles, or an area about the size of the city of Miami, Fla. This effort will be defeated in detail as larger Russian formations are moved into the area. Meanwhile back in the Donetsk region The Russians are making huge gains all along the line of contact.

In these three years of war, there is only one front in which Ukrainians have been consistently winning, and that, of course, is the MSM’s headlines.

These days, the incursion into Russian territory in the Kursk region is providing context for the pro Kiev crowd to fawn over their ‘victories’, but – as we have written about before – the cross-border adventure comes just as the defenses in Donetsk region are crumbling and Russians score victory after victory on the ground.

Now, Russian Federation forces are said to have begun laying siege to the city of Selidovo, and to be less than 10 km from Pokrovsk – poised to be the biggest conquest since Bakhmut.


Inhabitants of the region have now been forcibly evacuated and met by humanitarian aid workers and volunteers before being sent to shelters nearby.

A Little Known Part of the War - Field Bathhouses in the Ukrainian Army

We washed over 200 soldiers at the same time. Andriy, the head of the field bathhouse of the 128th mountain assault brigade of the Transcarpathian brigade, talks in detail about his specialty in the project "You are in the army". This is a project about non-combat positions, for those who want to join the army.

Andriy and his team travel as close to the front lines as possible so that the soldiers can take a hot shower and wash their clothes after completing a combat mission. Since the bathhouse complex is often deployed close to the contact line, it must be camouflaged as much as possible.

As far as I can make out, this is all coming from Russian propaganda sources and is fictitious. Russia launched some attacks, Ukraine rolled them up. Probably Russian commanders reporting fictional gains on order to look good with their bosses. None of the Ukrainian sources I use, most of whom are fairly blunt about what they regard as Ukrainain incompetency and Supreme Command failures, even mention these. They're all focused on the kettling and rolling up of the Russians on the northern side of Pokrovsk, which has been going well.
